As the final day of middle school arrived, the atmosphere was charged with excitement and a touch of nostalgia. Students were buzzing about their summer plans and the transition to high school. For Izuku Midoriya and Shadow, however, this day marked the culmination of their intense training and growth.

Standing at the edge of the training field, Izuku and Shadow faced each other, both breathing heavily after an exhilarating practice session. They had pushed each other to their limits over the past year, and the results were undeniable: they were now equals in speed, each capable of matching the other stride for stride.

"Can you believe it's the last day?" Izuku said, wiping sweat from his brow. "It feels like just yesterday we were starting out."

Shadow nodded, a rare smile on his face. "We've come a long way. I'd say we both exceeded our expectations."

Izuku's eyes sparkled with determination. "And now, it's time to set new goals. We can't settle for being equals forever."

"Agreed," Shadow replied, his tone serious. "I want to be the number one hero. And I expect you to try and stop me."

Izuku grinned, feeling a surge of competitive spirit. "Oh, I plan to! This is just the beginning, Shadow. Let's make a vow right here, right now."

"Vow?" Shadow raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"Let's promise to be rivals. No matter where we go or what challenges we face, we'll push each other to be better. May the best hero win!" Izuku extended his hand, his heart racing with anticipation.

Shadow considered the offer for a moment, then stepped forward and clasped Izuku's hand firmly. "You're on, Deku. May the best hero win. But remember, I won't hold back."

"I wouldn't want you to!" Izuku exclaimed, excitement bubbling within him.

As they shook hands, a sense of camaraderie and rivalry filled the air—a bond that would fuel their aspirations and forge their paths toward becoming heroes. With their newfound determination, they turned to face the horizon, envisioning the challenges ahead.

"Next year, we'll be in high school," Izuku said, his voice filled with conviction. "We'll face tougher opponents and train harder."

Shadow nodded, his eyes narrowed in focus. "And we'll show everyone what we're capable of. No more playing it safe."

As the school bell rang for the final time, signaling the end of middle school, the two friends—now rivals—stood tall, ready to embrace the future. The promise of adventure and growth lay ahead, and both of them were eager to take the first step on their journey toward becoming the number one hero.
