Nova's P. O. V:

I peel my eyes open sometime later to a white ceiling, and a beeping next to me. It takes me a moment to realise I'm in the hospital.

I turn my head to see Thor pacing the room and Katie sitting in the chair next to me with her face in her hands.

"Mm, what happened?" I mumble as I start sitting up, causing them both to whip their heads to me.

"Nova! Are you alright?!" The demigod asks as he rushes up to me and Katie straightens.

"After being struck by lightning, sure, I feel just dandy," I say with sarcasm lacing my voice.

Katie mutters, glancing to my boyfriend, "I'll go let the nurses know she's awake."

As Katie does that, Thor helps me to sit up.

"You don't remember what happened?" Thor questions.

"I remember seeing The Lightning Man again, then he tried to attack us but I teleported me and Katie away from it. Then I was hit with a lightning bolt and after you arrived to block his next attack, I lost consciousness," I reply, gazing at him. "By the way, how are you here? I thought you were still repairing the Bifrost."

Thor nods as he replies, "We are. I came the exact same way I arrived during the Tesseract incident to save you after Heimdall told me what was happening. I was with him at the time."

"So, he was watching the whole thing," I murmur. Thor nods as Katie and a dark skinned nurse with her hair in a ponytail come in.

Thor steps back to let the nurse check my vitals. They were almost back to normal after being hit with electricity and I should be out by the end of the day.

The nurse leaves to get me food and Thor thanks her.

"So, who is The Lightning Man?" The demigod questions, glancing between me and Katie. "Why was he attacking you?"

I meet Katie's blue orbs and let out a sigh, knowing it's time to tell him. "He's the one who killed our friend, Mia, twelve years ago. We only survived because I'd gained my powers right before he could kill us," I explain. Sympathy glimmers in Thor's blue orbs.

"I am sorry about your friend," He murmurs.

I clench my fingers into the blanket as my green eyes harden. "I'm going to get revenge, now that he's back. I won't let him get away this time."

"And he won't," Thor agrees firmly. "Because I'll make sure of it, after he hurt you like that. But, for now, Nova, you need to regain your strength before you can face him again."

Thor reaches out and gently squeezes my arm. I put my hand over his and offer a tiny smile in return.

Katie speaks up. "What happened twelve years ago is also why Nova hates lightning users." Here, Thor looks at her in surprise. "At least, until she met and fell in love with you, Thor. You've changed Nova. She was starting to open up again when you came into her life."

Thor looks back at me and I give him a small nod of confirmation.

"I could never hurt you or your friends, Nova," Thor tells me firmly.

"I know," I murmur. "I trust you more than any other lightning user. I... I love you, Thor."

Thor's eyes widen in surprise as Katie gasps. He then smiles before leaning in and giving me a kiss on my lips.

"I love you, too, Nova," He tells me, pulling back.

"Awe!" Katie says.

Katie drives me home later that day, Thor in the back seat. I'd contacted Fury to let him know of the situation and he's calling for backup.

My parents visited me in the hospital that afternoon, along with Jane, Darcy and Erik.

Jane was shocked about what happened and said to call her if I need anything, which I was grateful for.

After getting home, Katie offers to feed my horses while I relax on the large couch in the living room with Thor and we watch tv, Katie joining us for awhile later.
