After the events of the Sports Festival, they got a break from U.A and went to their chosen workplaces in order to gain experience of what it was like to be a real hero, while under the supervision of their chosen Pro Hero.

For some, it was uneventful. For others, it was a very unique experience. For Todoroki, Midoriya and Iida though, it was an intense experience. Mainly due to their battle with The Hero Killer, Stain.

Stain had killed multiple Pro Heroes before, and had even landed Iida's older brother, Tensei, into the Hospital, suffering severe injuries. The three, combined, had just about managed to defeat the Hero Killer.

Their victory against the Hero Killer was the hot topic, with the three being swarmed with questions by their classmates.

"I see. That must have been... quite the experience."
Midoriya had just finished telling Inei about all the details of what had happened in their battle. Inei seemed to be in deep thought about the entire ordeal.
"I'm quite surprised you survived. Not like that," he quickly added, seeing the expression on Midoriya's face.
"I'm happy you did, obviously, but he had killed multiple pro heroes before, and is far better at hand to hand combat than the three of you combined... How did you survive?"

Midoriya stared at Inei for a few seconds, before wondering the same to herself. How DID they survive?

"If it helps, I'm almost 100% sure he was holding back against you three."
"Ah... that's probably it."
A few seconds of silence.
"But enough about me... what about you?"
Inei blinked.
"...Pardon?"
"What did you do? Who was your chosen Pro Hero? And why?"
"Oh. I mainly just focused on training myself personally, some new techniques and stuff, and my chosen Pro Hero was Ryukyu."

"Some new techniques? Wait. RYUKYU?! YOU GOT TO WORK WITH THE RYUKYU?!"

"Not that impressive really. Especially considering she's my mother."

"SHE'S YOUR WHAT-"
Izumi, almost literally, exploded. She sent question after question Inei's way, so many questions at once in fact that Inei was surprised she wasn't out of breath.
"Midoriya. I quite happen to miss my personal space."
Midoriya noticed how her face was about an inch away from Inei's. She blushed deeply, and pushed herself away. A bit too fast. She nearly fell, and only stayed up cause Inei caught her arm.

"Sorry-"
"It's alright. Anyway, she's not my biological mother."
"Wait what?"
"She's my foster mother, actually."
"Oh! What happened to your biological parents?"
Inei gave her a deadpan stare.
"Oh."
"Precisely."

"Oh and what about the new abilities you got?"
"A magician never reveals all his secrets... or something like that."
"But you're not a magician-"
"It's a metaphor, Midoriya."
"Oh."

"So this must be it..."
A dark brown haired boy stood in front of the dorms.
"The dorms I'll be staying in. Wow, this place is nice. U.A really outdid themselves... as expected of them, I suppose."
The boy checked his watch. It read: 6:12 AM.
"Hmm, nobody should be awake... excellent, I'll have plenty of time to set everything up."
"Set what up?"
The boy jumped.

Whirling around, he saw a boy with curly dark blue hair with a bit of black. He was sitting in a chair, reading a book with his glasses on.

"Are you a new student?"
"Oh... um, yeah. I'm Shiro."
"Nice to meet you, Shiro. I'm Inei."
"Oh! You're that kid, from the festival. Your battles were awesome!"
Inei smiled slightly at the comment, before going back to reading.

Shiro was about to go upstairs, before Inei called him back.
"Food is ready on the table, if you're hungry. And if you need help setting up your room, you can ask me to do so without hesitation."
"Ah. Thank you."
