"I want a divorce," Aaron said, his eyes bloodshot, his mouth clenched. Irisa staggered, could she have said she was shocked?! No, of course not. She just wanted to believe that he truly would not do it.It had been a week since their visit to the Temple, and Irisa buried herself in work, avoiding Aaron as best as she could.
Aaron spent all his time tending to Nyx and Irisa decided to give up on the idea that she and Aaron could reconcile. Simply co-existing was fine with her as long as they stayed out of her way.
The Liberian had neither ever seen nor had she ever heard of such language before. From the analysis she had given Nancy, it looked like it was indeed a language, just not one she had ever seen or heard about before.
The Liberian stated that she was impressed by such language but she did not know its origins.
Irisa was thrown into another of confusion. Why did she understand it but everybody did not?
Prince Donald had appeared at the doorstep of her quarters while she was deep in thought and confused about what the whole thing was. Nancy too was surprised, wondering what he was doing. Helping her in the Temple was fine but it did not mean anything but that.
"Prince Donald pays respect to your Excellency," he greeted with a smile on his face. He noticed that she covered the scroll but he could still see some of the wordings. Just as he had suspected, she was indeed writing it down.
"Prince Donald, what are you doing here? This is an odd surprise." Irisa did not fail to let him know her shock about his visit.
He maintained his composure and continued smiling. His eyes went from the scroll back to her. She was watching him, with a guarded expression, curious about his visit.
"I am here to pay you a visit, I was worried about your leg, it looked very red while we were at the temple and I was wondering if it was getting better," Donald informed them.
"Prince Donald, the Palace has the best physicians at its disposal, why do you think she will not be fine?" Nancy quarried, making sure he knew she did not appreciate his presence or his visit.
"I was only just visiting, to make sure Her Excellency was alright. I do think that is proper is it not?" Donald questioned, looking from Nancy to Irisa.
"There is nothing wrong in visiting me, Prince Aaron, thank you, I appreciate it," Irisa said with a soft polite smile.
It was not lost on Irisa that Donald was glancing at the scroll sitting in between them. From the look on his face, he knew something.
"Well, since Your Highness has seen that Empress Irisa is fine, the intent of your visit has been concluded. Shall I escort you to the door?"
Donald thought about it, Irisa was still his enemy, and it was stupid to empower her but the only time this ever happened was with a strange woman on Bayal, she cut his palm and placed her bleeding palm on it. The same thing happened, she started speaking the same language, and no matter what, he was not able to pull his hand away. It was more terrifying than any war he had fought. Out of fear, one of his men struck her down.
With a bleeding throat, she informed him that he was no Emperor and that no matter what he did, he would never sit on Kaley's throne. She died afterward, he was so shaken that a few days later, he found her house and found similar patterns and language on her walls. They concluded that she had gone mad but somewhere in his mind, he knew that she truly was saying the truth.
The reason he was so powerless now and refused to do anything was because of suppression. He barely had enough to eat, how would he take the throne back? He also remembered what that strange woman had said;
