"I can't believe I am going on a date with that monkey." Sarfaraz raised his eyebrows in disbelief, fixing his maroon blazer.

"No, sorry, mock date." He nodded, applying a generous amount of Oud perfume. Then, he twirled the expensive glass bottle in his hand and grinned, - "Babe, if this strong perfume doesn't burn your nose hairs, change my name to Ass Monkey. Officially."

After gelling his hair, Sarfaraz unbuttoned the collar and two buttons of his black shirt and sat at the edge of his bed. As he tied his shoe-lace, there was a knock at the door. Hadiya walked in, looking around. The warm and overly intense scent gave her an instant headache.

"Beta!"

Sarfaraz looked up, then rolled his eyes away from her.

"You are going somewhere?"

"Yeah!" He replied dryly, - "Obviously."

Hadiya let out a shaky breath, controlling her tears.

"Beta, your rudeness hurts—"

Sarfaraz shot up from his seat, aggressively tugging on his blazer, - "Then go to your darling son, who you got for free from your late husband." He walked ahead of her, then stopped and answered, - "I am going on a date."

Hadiya turned her head, giving him a sad look, - "That girl, Dania, she isn't good for you. Please change your mind—Fareeha is—"

"Please, Ammi." Sarfaraz interrupted, showing a hand. He then twisted his body to face his mother. Casually, he placed his hands into his pockets, - "I am big boy now, mother. Like you said when you were deciding your future—" Sarfaraz's voice cracked towards the end, and he gulped softly, - "and mine with it." He turned around and bolted out of the room.

Hadiya sighed, crumpling on the bed. She held her forehead and whimpered.

Sarfaraz drove to his restaurant. At three in the night, no one will be present. This would give them privacy. Only one waiter and waitress, and a cook he had insisted would help him.

Sarfaraz smoothly parked his car got down, and jogged towards the main entrance. A young man in a black, red mandarin collar shirt and red pants opened the door for him. He beamed, -"Hello, sir!"
