"There's only one world for us, and things in it are set up so that we can find happiness in it." - Rena Ryuugu

POV : Rena

Rena: I'm heading out, Dad! See you tonight, hauuu~! I waved my hand enthusiastically, all smiles. And good luck with your new job, okay? Okay? I'm sure you'll do great!

Without another word, I hurried toward the door, closing it with a sharp click behind me. My steps quickly turned into a joyful run, my feet hitting the quiet paths of Hinamizawa. The summer sun gently kissed my skin, and the incessant chirping of the cicadas filled the air, almost in harmony with my own breathing. The warmth and familiar sounds of the village surrounded me, wrapping every moment in a soft serenity.

Once I had put enough distance between myself and the house, I slowed down, resuming a more relaxed pace, a light whistle escaping from my lips. The cicadas continued their song, blending with my cheerful melody. The sun, high in the sky, bathed the entire village in its golden light, making the day feel even more perfect. Every corner of Hinamizawa seemed to glow under that warm light. It was an ideal day.

Yet deep down, something crept between these moments of happiness. A small sense of apprehension slipped into my heart. Since I had arrived in Hinamizawa, each day had been filled with laughter, smiles, moments of pure joy. But this constancy, this string of happy days... I was starting to realize something, as if this peace couldn't last forever. It was a vague feeling, a shadow in the village's radiant light.

Today, though, felt different. I felt an almost uncontrollable joy, an overwhelming excitement that made me want the day to begin as quickly as possible. With this new energy, I made my way toward Keiichi's house, our first meeting spot. The thought of seeing him, along with the others, made each step feel lighter.

Hinamizawa... This village was truly a little paradise, calm and peaceful. It had a unique charm, a simplicity that I loved so much. Even though we didn't have access to the internet or the modern conveniences of the city, it never really mattered. All we needed was each other, our little group, our club. Together, we shared this simple happiness, as if nothing else mattered.

I continued walking leisurely, whistling and humming softly as I made my way toward Keiichi's house. Each step felt lighter, lifted by the gentleness of the day. The entire village was bathed in that peaceful atmosphere I cherished so much, the sun gently warming the air, and the cicadas singing their familiar melody. I passed a few villagers on the way, and each one greeted me with a warm smile, some even commenting on how radiant I seemed today.
