At the girls house
A shadow loomed over the door as hand connected to a beige sweatshirt knocked on the door
“Yes?” Aphmau asked, opening the door.
“Did you order a caffeine addicted technician?” Luka asked fixing her fat framed glasses with flashlights on the side
“Nope but her girlfriend sure as hell did.” Aphmau said, immediately hugging Luka Who picked her up and spun her before putting her back down
“Well actually that's my fiancée, but who cares for titles.” Luka asked
“Wife, got it.” Aphmau said.
“fiancée, we're not married yet.” Luka said
“And I'm not even engaged yet. Much to my chagrin.” Aphmau said.
“Tell me about it, Kay kay proposed to me back at college graduation” Luka said.
“Speaking of Katelyn, want me to go get her or would you rather do the honors?” Aphmau asked.
“Is she hiding upstairs in her room?” Luka asked
“As KC, Rob and I prepare for the party, yeah.” Aphmau said.
“I'll get her then I got some chums to say hello to.” Luka said
“Well alright then.” Aphmau said. Gesturing her in as she walked over picking up a bucket and then dropped it over Rob's head.
“All hail plankton.” she said
“All hail plankton!” Rob repeated before lifting the bucket off his eyes.
“Well I found one of you, where's your partner in crime?” She asked.
“Which one? Last I counted there's two now. Chris is already in party mode and Maren is with your fiancé away from the rest of us, mostly normal people.” Rob said.
“Yo!” Chris said, taking a drink from his red party cup.
“Can we keep it?” Katelyn asked holding Maren up
“Noooooo.” Luka said
“But it wants to see the world burn and I like it” Katelyn said
“What's in that anyway?” Rob asked, turning back to Chris.
“I'd tell you but You should already know at this point.” Chris said
“Good point.” Rob said.
“How about you put the young adult down before you drop it and she goes crashing through the floor.” Luka said
“Hey I'm not that heavy!” Maren said
“Accept It hun you'll be happier when you do” Luka said
“She's really not that heavy.” Rob said.
“She weighs 300 pounds.” Chris said
“Oh right. Yeah, put her down before I'm paying for repairs.” Rob said.
“Why did you make her that heavy again?” Luka asked squirting mouth spray into her mouth and kissing Katelyn
“reinforced legs, keeps her flat on her feet and stops her from jumping.” Chris replied.
“Is that why I see the commercial models fall down at the signs of a stiff breeze?” Rob asked.
“No,” Chris said simply
“Kchan made christmas brownies” Kc said walking in.
“Are they the extra special kind where I have to clear my schedule for a couple hours or just mostly regular Christmas themed brownies?” Aphmau asked.
“Whaaa?” Kc asked
“Regular brownies, got it.” Aphmau said, climbing on Rob's back to hang garland.
“Why can't you be like that?” Luka asked
“Like what?” Katelyn asked purposely not looking at the two.
“Because he's used to me mounting him.” Aphmau said cheekily as Rob moved across the room for her to attach the garland to another point.
“Relationship goals.” Chris said as Rob and Aphmau kept moving around the room decorating the walls.
“This is coming from the guy who built himself an Ai housewife.” Katelyn said.
“At least mine can't get angry at me” Chris said as Aphmau got down from her vantage point.
“That's part of the fun.” Rob said as Aphmau pulled the bucket back down over his eyes.
“Sir, your parcel has arrived.” Ec’s voice said from Chris’s smart watch.
“Hmm I think that's all the decorations. Right?” Aphmau said, looking around.
“I hate the pink tree, it's supposed to be green.” Luka said
“See! see!” Katelyn said
“If it makes you feel better, I agree.” Rob said as he reached down into a box and pulled out a mistletoe.
“Hmph!” KC said.
“Looks like you have a very difficult decision to make.” Rob said, turning to Aphmau. As everyone scrambled out of the room and into the kitchen
“You guys realize I'm the one holding it right?” Rob said as Aphmau walked over, raised his arm over his head, took the bucket off his head and kissed him.
“Over there please.” Aphmau said, pointing to the arch beside the stairs leading into the dining room and kitchen
“Alright everyone back up cause I'm about to turn left and I don't wanna hit anyone with this dick.” Rob said giggling as he hung the mistletoe.
“Hardy har!” Aphmau said, walking over to Rob again before Rob pulled her into a kiss as KC took a picture.
“You guys have four ovens?” Luka asked.
“Kchan keeps buying ovens.” Katleyn said.
“Kchan needs all the ovens she can get, sweets don't cook themselves you know!” Kc said.
“Where did you even get the money for three new ovens?!” Katelyn said.
“Let's get this place ready before the guests start showing up.” Aphmau said, looking at the amb sitting in the corner.
“Since when was that there?” Rob said.
“I always bring It to parties.” Chris said
“Well that solves the drinking situation.” Aphmau said as Rob walked back to the living room.
“Alright outta the kitchen so I can grab the snacks and stuff.” Aphmau said. as they all scrambled Like cats except for Kc
“You too.” she said lightly smacking her hand down on top of the amb which refused to do anything.
“Not even sure where the best place for you to be is.” She said, turning her attention to the counter.
“Wow you guys move fast.” Rob said as Aphmau came out of the kitchen with 2 arm fulls of various chips which she carried to the dining room as Rob immediately went into the kitchen and followed suit.
“Look at this little angel,” Luka said, touching Marens' painted nose.
“Stahp!” Maren said
“Nah i got your mouth.” Luka said pulling it off
“Now that's just fucked up.” Maren said as Rob came out of the kitchen carrying even more chips than Aphmau as he walked to the dining room and Aphmau walked back to the kitchen.
“So that's where my rent money goes.” Katelyn said.
“Nope, he paid for most of the chips.” Aphmau said walking back out carrying several different containers of dip.
“Brookie.” Katelyn said
“You’ve seen my paycheck.” Aphmau said walking to the dining room.
“and you'd have an aneurism if you saw mine” Katelyn said.
“Money is money, more or less” Luka said
“And that's why I put the fun in funds.” Rob said, walking back to the kitchen.
Katelyn groaned
“ohhh.. that was bad” Maren said
“Don't look at me!” Aphmau said from the dining room.
“You're the damn pun master, this is why you should never let two introverts date.” Katelyn said.
“Yo can you help me move the amb?” Rob said from the kitchen.
“Do do do do.” Chris said walking over and slamming his fist down on top of it as it split apart.
“Why is it when I try that she sprays me with what I can only hope is lemonade?” Rob asked as she stood up behind him extending her antenna up.
“Amber find a different corner please” Chris said as she walked away
“Oh good she didn't spray me this time.” Rob said.
“You just gotta learn how to deal with moody machines.” Chris said.
“The fact that that could mean like 3 different things concerns me.” Rob said.
“I deal with 3 of them on a daily basis so that's accurate.” Chris said, walking away.
“One moody machine was enough for me.” Rob said, picking up various condiments and other dips as he left the kitchen walking past Amber now emulating Chris by standing in a corner with a stack of red party cups
“Do they still run off of the mimic 1 program?” Luka asked
“Not the end ones no, they run off Error chan, and she's able to guide them around to varying success” Chris said taking a drink
“fascinating..” Luka said
“You two were designed to get along weren't you?” Katelyn asked
“Nerds of a feather stick together, So when do I get to meet Miss Ec?” Luka asked as Chris raised his arm.
“Ec?” He asked
“Good afternoon, how can I help you sir?” Ec asked.
“Oooo!” Luka said examining his arm
“Hello there Error chan” she said
“Hello, Luka.” Ec said.
“She Knows my name!” Luka said
“Tell us about yourself.” Chris asked
“My name is Error chan I am an enhanced, reliable, and response optimization, and I serve as a collaborative, housing and assistance network, created by and for Mr Madison.” She explained.
“I want one.” Luka said.
“Sadly she's not for sale nor will she ever” Chris said.
“Unfortunate. I could use something like her.” Luka said.
“What's the weather like?” Chris asked
“It's f##king snowing sir, For more information you can step outside.” Ec said
“That really is cool.” Luka said
“OOOOO KCHANS SHIP!” Kc said as an unholy amount of camera flashes came from the dining room.
“Took Kchan longer than expected to figure that one out.” Katelyn said.
“At least turn the flash off!” Aphmau said as she walked out of the dining room.
“Kchan needs every single detail, it's her ship!” She pouted.
“Yeah and I'd like to be able to see the other half of that ship!” Aphmau said.
“Ow.” Rob said, rubbing his eye with one hand while holding his glasses in the other.
“Gotta get yourself flash resistant glasses.” Luka said causing her glasses to shade themselves
“What the hell don't they do? I'm just gonna go chill on the couch until I'm needed again.” Rob said hopping over the back of the couch and taking a seat.
“Probably should get a ladder soon.” Aphmau said.
"Statistics show that having a ladder in the house is far more dangerous than a loaded gun.. that's why I own 3 robots… in case some maniac tries to sneak in a ladder again.” Chris said.
A few hours later, night fell over the house.
A knock came to the door and Aphmau opened it to reveal Travis, Garroth and Dante, with Garroth holding a few store bought pies.
“Hey!” Dante said.
“Yo!” Travis said.
“I brought pie!” Garroth said as Aphmau let them enter.
“Ooo pie!” Aphmau said.
“Where's the rest of the food?” Dante asked.
“Snacks and drinks are in the dining room. Glad
you guys could make it!” Aphmau said excitedly.
“Wouldn't miss it.” Dante said .
“Not like we were just going to watch you through the window. Now where is that soda machine?” Travis asked, rubbing his hands together.
“Over there. Careful, she might try to kick your butt like Katelyn used to in highschool.” Rob said from the couch, gesturing to a corner where Amber stood copying Chris.
“I'll believe it when It happens.” Travis replied.
“Well that's gonna be interesting when it does then, you are a little sturdier now.” Rob said.
“See I told you guys someone would notice I was working out!” Travis said entering the dining room.
“Amber can't hurt you.” Chris said walking past.
“She can, however, spray you with various substances.” Rob said.
“One of them is bound to be embarrassed tonight.” Aphmau said.
“It's not a party without a little bit of chaos.” Rob said.
“That's the point of tonight isn't it?” Aphmau asked as there was another knock at the door which Aphmau answered.
“Who's there?” She asked
“Sue.” a voice said.
“Sue?” Aphmau asked
“Suegon deez nuts” Nicole said as Aphmau opened the door.
“Ha!” Rob laughed.
“Nicole!” Aphmau said, hugging her.
She was wearing a plain white shirt, pastel pink flannel, light blue jeans and red hair cut to be almost exactly like katelyns
“Now where's my sister from another mister?” Nicole asked.
“Uhhh I was too busy with my boyfriend to notice if she snuck back to her room or not. Luka probably knows.” Aphmau said. Gesturing Nicole in that direction
“No I don't!” Maren said
“Yes you do” Luka said
“No I don't!” Maren said
“Yes you do” Luka said
“No I don't!” Maren said
“Yes you do” Luka said
“No I don't!” Maren said
“only people with an ego deny the fact they have an ego” Luka said feeling a hand on her shoulder and turned
“Oh hey Nicole” she said
“Have you seen katelyn?” Nicole asked
“Give me a second.” Luka said placing her fingers on both sides of her head and closing her eyes
“Alr…ight?” Nicole said a little confused as they stood in silence
…
“She's in her room” Luka suddenly said
“..how do you do that?” Nicole asked
“Womantuition” Luka replied
Aphmau heard a gentle rhythmic tap at the door, when she answered, she was greeted by Terra and Kai.
“Sorry we’re a little late, this little goober just spent an hour getting ready.” Kai said, nudging Terra lightly.
“It was mainly my hair.” Terra admitted, lightly stroking her braided hair.
“Well it was certainly worth it, you look incredible.” Aphmau said.
“Thank you Aphmau, you look really nice too.” Terra replied.
“Why thank you! Though I really haven't done anything special.” Aphmau said.
“So did we miss anything?” Kai asked as the two stepped in..
“Not much, Chris made two toasts to his ego and Garroth brought pie.” Aphmau said, closing the door and taking a seat next to Rob on the couch again as Celestia peeked her head over the back of the couch. Slowly examining the people In the room as her eyes landed on Maren laying her head against the wall with ‘zzzzzz’ written on her visor before returning her attention to the rest of the room as Garroth, Dante and Travis came back in and got situated.
“Merry early Christmas.” Luka said, handing Rob a rectangular box .
“Oh? What's this?” Rob asked, opening the box as Aphmau watched just as curious.
Inside he found the box for a rtx 4090 founders edition
“Oh shit. Nice. Been meaning to upgrade some stuff.” Rob said.
“I intrust that you can put that in without it being in my shop next week” Luka said
“No need to worry, I'm gonna be taking all the precautions I can.” Rob said.
“Of course that's gonna be a couple days. I don't think I'll be functioning tomorrow morning.” Rob said.
“Aphmau already got hers months ago, so bam” Luka added throwing a larger box in her lap
“Well this is gonna be interesting.” Rob said watching Aphmau open her present to reveal a latte maker with a whole months worth of pumpkin spice instant latte packets
“This thing is gonna get so much use.” Aphmau said in awe.
“That's not the first time I've heard that.” Rob said as Aphmau elbowed him.
“These are for the guys.” Luka said, sitting a box on the table.
“Alright let's see what we've got.” Dante said, opening the box as Celestia jumped off the couch.
“And this is for the most important person in my life.” Luka said, putting something in her hoodie pocket.
“Well… I sort of got my present early, Kai came home with a kitten the other day and I said to consider that my present.” Terra said.
“Awww.” Aphmau said.
“He’s a gray and white domestic short hair.” Kai said.
“And my baby boy.” Terra added.
“Sometimes you convince me that you love him more than your own family.” Kai said.
Terra just slowly looked at him.
“Oohhhhhh, right, yeah, that was a dumb question.” Kai said.
Terra turns round and pulls a bunch of presents out from her bag.
“I didn’t know what to get you all so I made you all the same thing.” Terra said, passing the presents around to each person.
“Going to keep mine till christmas” Chris said
“Alright you've got me too intrigued not to open it.” Aphmau said, immediately opening the present to reveal a purple handmade winter hat with her name on it.
“Oooo it's so cool!” Aphmau said.
“Ah,
“Sir your ex wife has left you a message” Ec said
“You were married?” Aphmau asked.
“yeah? I am like 25.” Chris said while taking a drink.
“Do I even wanna know who that was?” Rob asked.
“Dianna Cavendish.” Chris said.
“Yeah that tracks.” Rob said.
“That goth werewolf from college?” Aphmau asked.
“Something like that.” Chris said.
“Your love life is definitely one of intrigue.” Rob said, taking a drink.
“I can't tell If that's an insult or a praise” Chris said.
“Both probably” Luka said
“Definitely both.” Aphmau said.
“When were the wedding?” Travis asked.
“Why does it matter?” Chris asked
“Curiosity.” Travis said.
“Careful with the W word there Travis, KChan might… explode.” Rob said.
“I mean no offense Aphmau hun it's been like 4 years since yall started seeing each other in university and y'all aren't even engaged or officially dating.” Luka said.
“Not like we're really hiding it.” Rob said as Aphmau was snuggled up to him.
“Yeah but you haven't said it, you keep it a secret so they don't freak out though I mean I get it, I don't know if I told my parents I'm engaged to my girlfriend, or that I even have one, But if didn't i probably had a good reason, but everyone who knows me knows” she added as KC walked in from the kitchen with another pan of brownies.
“That's fair. Though I did kinda… blurt it out earlier so… yeah he's my boyfriend.” Aphmau said to absolutely no one's surprise.
“About damn time!” Dante said.
“That was… better than I expected?” Aphmau said just completely confused.
“Babe, it was pretty obvious.” Rob said.
“We're all adults here.” Garroth said.
“That's one off the list. Kidding Yeah. Plus y'all are cute together.” Travis said.
“Eeeeeee!” KC squealed.
“That's probably what I was more afraid of.” Aphmau said.
“Surprisingly I’m more shocked the mistletoe only got a little bit of use.” Rob said.
“Mistletoes are so last century, I prefer phat butt's in tight jeans.” Luka said.
“Amen to that sister” Chris said as they high fived
“I’m right here!” Nicole said from the second floor.
“Your misters sister is hot accept it” Luka said
“Oh we both know it sista. Why do you think she wears those tight jeans?” Nicole said.
“Because she was raised by her wrestling dad and her brother and is more tomboyish as a result” Luka said.
“Exactly.” Nicole said while Luka turned her head to the side as if fantasizing about something while visible drool appeared.
“Alright what pervy thoughts got you drooling?” Nicole asked, sliding down the handrail to the first floor.
“...a liquid cooled asus motherboard, running on an 1000 watt gold power supply, 4090 graphics card, and ddr5” Luka said with a sigh
“That's not at all what I was expecting.” Nicole said.
“you do realize she's the most innocent being in this room right?” Chris asked.
“Yeah, drooling over computers is her job after all.” Rob said.
“She is not innocent,” Nicole said.
“Dude bro, I don't think there's a perverted thought behind those eyes.” Chris said.
“I mean if someone manages to get Katelyn down here I'm sure she can confirm that one.” Rob said.
“Sir, if I may intervene, your parts have arrived.” Ec said
“Cool.” Chris said.
“Where was I? Oh right, if you want Katelyn downstairs just send that thing up, I don't think she can physically say no to it.” He added.
“Which thing?” Aphmau asked.
“Pretty sure he means you.” Rob said to Aphmau.
“Nope, I tried.” Aphmau said.
“You know what I'm going to run with this.” Chris said walking away and coming back with a whiteboard before drawing a fairly accurate drawing of him, Rob, Aph, Nicole, and Luka
“Alright this oughta be interesting.” Nicole said.
“Aphmau, Katelyn has said no to to you a million times so” Chris said crossing her out
“Rob, Katelyn would love nothing more than for you to stop existing so…” He added crossing Rob out.
“She doesn't care for werewolves so bam.” he said crossing himself out
“AND The question was directed at Nicole so she was never an option in the first place. Leaving Luka” Chris said
“I've never seen Katelyn say no to her” Chris said
“That's a very good point.” Rob said.
“Where'd the whiteboard come from?” Garroth asked.
“I know, I am a genius after all. Anything else I need to explain?” Chris asked
“Not really. Though it's gonna be interesting to see if her love for Luka outweighs her dislike of parties.” Nicole said.
“500 bucks says I'm right” Chris said holding it up
“Last time I made a bet with you I ended up with a broken arm.” Rob said.
“We swore we'd take that to the grave” Chris said
“I was in a cast for almost 3 months!” Rob said.
“and yet the white haired jogger who almost died from exhaustion, recovered quicker than you” Chris said.
“She broke her ankle, my arm was practically shattered.” Rob said, taking off his glasses to clean them.
“500 dollars huh?” Luka asked
“yes I will give Nicole here, nice name B T Dubs, 500 dollars if you can't get her to come down” Chris said
“Oh I'm so in.” Nicole said.
“alright.” Luka said heading towards the stairs heading over to a door that'll said no scratching on it and giving it a knock before opening it
“Kay kay?” She asked as Katelyn turned away from her desk
“Oh hey lu what's up?” She asked
“I was getting kinda lonely without you and wanted to know if you'd like to come down and hang out with me?” Luka asked
“Uhh.. sure just let me finish this part of my script” Katelyn said
“Oh, you're writing something?” Luka asked coming over
“Yeah it's like.. a modern take on Romeo and Juliette, it's cringe but i kinda like it” Katelyn said
“I'm sure it's amazing” Luka said scanning the text
“Thank you lu” Katelyn replied
A few minutes later they both came downstairs
“When I asked, I got pulled into her room!” Nicole said defeated.
“Just take it” Chris said handing her the money
“Oh sweet ! looks like lunch is on me tomorrow. Lucky you Dante.” Nicole said,
pocketing the cash as KCs eyes darted between Nicole and Dante.
“That's like lunch for a month if you spend it right.” Chris said.
“Alright what'd I miss?” Katelyn said.
“He roasted us with psychology.” Nicole said gesturing to the white board
“Where’d that even come from?” Katelyn asked.
“That's what I wanna know!” Garroth said.
“He got it from the film crew.” Dante said
“Alright, now, you two.” Katelyn said, turning her attention to Rob and Aphmau.
“Already told everyone.” Aphmau said.
“She told me first!” Nicole said.
“Told everyone what?” Katelyn asked
“That I'm dating Rob.” Aphmau said.
“gah..” Katelyn said holding her chest
“At least someone's shocked.” Aphmau said.
“I think that's the second worst pain I've ever felt in my life” Katelyn said walking away.
“Yeah that's about how I expected that to go.” Aphmau said.
“I'm more worried about when your mom finds out.” Rob said.
“You’re dead.” Luka said bluntly
“I think I'd take the broken arm again than Sylvanna when she finds out. Last time I ever saw her, chancla straight past my head and embedded into her own door.” Rob said.
“Or.. she starts wanting grandbabies.” Aphmau said.
“Grandbabies with that guy? The devil? Satan reincarnated? Come on Aphmau get your head out of the clouds and start thinking.” Katelyn said
“I think maybe we should be more supportive of Aphmau's choices.” Luka said
“I'm more than supportive, I just don't agree with the way they're going about it.” Katelyn said.
“Yeah… Definitely not looking forward to that inevitable conversation.” Aphmau said.
“I’ll just follow your lead here.” Rob said, giving her a reassuring smile.
“Just do the smart thing and don't tell her until yall are living under the same roof .” Katelyn said
“That's the plan.” Aphmau said.
“Good at least you're smarter than your choices.” Katelyn added.
“Katelyn please, he's not that dumb.” Aphmau said.
“I'd love to agree babe but yeah I've done plenty of stupid shit.” Rob admitted.
“Your whole life is a lovecraftian novel, love at first sight doesn't exist but you made it happen.” Katelyn said.
“I'm not sure how to take that.” Aphmau said.
“It is not a compliment, I'll tell you that.” Katelyn said.
“Don't think it was at first sight though. She kinda hated me at first.” Rob said.
“Enemies to lovers can still be considered love at first sight.” Katelyn said.
“Yeah I guess so.” Aphmau said, snuggling closer to Rob.
“That's not necessarily a bad thing.” Rob said.
“changing the subject, yall wanna see a magic trick?” Chris asked.
“Alright show me what you've got.” Nicole said.
“Tell Me two truths and a lie and I'll get it right every single time” Chris said putting on a pair of sunglasses .
“Ooo alright let's see… I was on the high school volleyball team, I flunked out of college and these are a pair of Katelyn's jeans.” Nicole said.
“You’re… wearing katelyns pa- anyway you didn't flunk.” Chris said taking off his glasses as his beautiful golden eyes shifted hue back to green
“Hey, don't knock sisters for sharing clothes.” Katelyn said.
“Wow you're good.” Nicole said.
“Has anyone seen a girl that looks like Lucinda around or am I just going crazy?” Travis asked
“oh yeah she's back in town and just down the street aaaand… She's in a relationship with my sister.” Rob said.
“Oh hell yeah, the coolest witch is back in town.” Travis said.
“KCs gonna have to bring her a cake.” KC said.
“What kind of relationship?” Garroth asked. As they all looked at Chris
“Oh come on…” he groaned
“You'd likely know the best out of all of us though knowing my sister, probably helping her with her kid.” Rob said.
“She prefers the term sugar mommy” Chris said
“Yeah that's about right.” Rob said.
“Oh shoot I forgot to invite her.” Aphmau said upon realization.
“Probably for the best” Chris said
“Yeah.. she didn't exactly seem happy about the idea of seeing him again.” Katelyn said.
“Oh that ship sailed and sank almost immediately.” Rob said.
“But, enough about that.” Rob said standing up and walking over to Amber, taking a cup and filling it with whiskey.
“So, instead, I'd like to raise a glass… or in this case, a cup to the best group of friends I could ask for, even if one of them disapproves of my girlfriend's dating choices.” Rob said, raising the cup.
“Aww that's real sweet babe!” Aphmau said, getting up and grabbing a drink for herself.
“Whatever you say, don't complain when you end up trapped in a cabin somewhere up in the mountains.” Katelyn said walking away.
“I love all you guys, now let's party!” Rob said, putting an arm around Aphmau before immediately chugging his drink before Aphmau stopped him halfway to kiss him before drinking her own drink as Rob went back to drinking his.
“That's so gonna come back to bite me in the morning.” Rob said looking at his empty cup.
“To many more parties, till we all die in a cabin somewhere up in the snowy mountains of jasper.” Chris said toasting to Katelyn
