AUTHOR'S POV
"They took her" Tears left Nandini's eyes seeing the view in front of her eyes. Mohini's mom was crying profusely sitting on the bed, Deewan ji were busy in a conversation with Mohini's dad. Nandini rushed towards her Badi maa and Hugged her, She hugged her back and sobbed badly.
" Nandu beta, Moh-Mohini Ko vo log le gaye ab ham Jawai sa ko kya mu dikhayege ?"
[ Nandu my child , they took Mohini, now how will show our faces to Jawai sa]
" Badi Maa , aap roiye mat ham Mohini ko le aayege vapas" Nandini tried explaining her but she kept weeping. Raj and Anand entered the chamber and Mohini's dad ran and joined his hands in front of Raj.
[ Badi Maa, don't cry I will bring Mohini back]
" Hame maaf kar dijiye , Ham boht sharminda hai " Mohini's dad pleaded. Raj held his hand assuring him.
[ Please forgive us, we are very ashamed ]
" Aap Maafi mat mangiye , galti hamari hai ham unhe surakshit nahi rakh paaye " Nandini heard his words and something broke inside her , she got restless , a fire to find her and bring her back safely burnt inside her.
[Please don't ask for forgiveness , it was my mistake I couldn't protect her]
She turned to Mohini and asked " Badi maa kitna samay hua ye sab hone me ?"
[ Badi Maa, when did all this happen?]
" Pata nahi ham jab aaye tab Rekha yaha zakhmi halat me thi" Mohini's om murmured.
[ I don't know when we came here Rekha was laying injured on the floor]
" Rekha kaha hai?"
[ Where is Rekha?]
" Vaidh ji ke kamre me" She replied. Without thinking much Nandini ran towards Vaidh ji's room , Anand followed her. She reached there panting , Rekha was laying unconscious on the bed , Vaidh ji were busy preparing ointments and medicines. She slowly move towards Rekha and silently sat beside her. After some time Rekha opened her eyes.
[ Doctor's room]
" Rekha when did all this happen ?" Nandini held her hands.
" An hour from now, they came and stabbed me , Mohini was still unconscious and they took her with them" Rekha said in merely audible voice. Nandini got up thinking that they must not have gone far and Mohini must be safe. There was still time to save her. She lifted her eyelids up and saw Anand gazing at her leaning at the door frame. She ran to him in haste.
" Anand we need to save Mohini , no matter what happens " Anand nodded.
" Do you know where they must have gone?" Nandini asked. Anand didn't reply and went towards Rekha.
"Did they say something before leaving ?" Anand asked sternly.
" Yes.... one of the men said they will take her to the place of death " Rekha blurted.
A PLACE OF DEATH.
Anand started moving back and forth in the room rubbing his forehead , thinking what could that be. Raj joined them in some time.
" Did you get to know something?" Raj asked.
" They took her to some place of death" Anand replied.
" The crematorium ?" Raj blurted " No.. the manor near Crematorium that dad gifted Suraj" He continued.
