Chapter 12: A New Beginning
The first rays of sunlight filtered into the room, and Kunj slowly opened his eyes. As he stretched lazily, he realized Twinkle was sleeping right next to him. Her face looked so peaceful, her features soft and calm. Her hair was sprawled across her pillow, and Kunj couldn’t help but stare for a moment. She looked so different, vulnerable even, when she wasn’t arguing with him.
Suddenly, Twinkle stirred, her eyes still closed but her voice groggy. “Tum kya dekh rahe ho?” she muttered, half-asleep.
Kunj smirked, “Tumhe hi dekh raha hoon. You look so... quiet. Finally no fights,” he teased.
Twinkle’s eyes fluttered open, and she shot him a sleepy glare. “Shut up, Kunj. Subah-subah sarcasm shuru ho gaya.”
Kunj chuckled, leaning back against the headboard. “It’s not sarcasm, yaar. I was just appreciating how peaceful you look when you’re not plotting my destruction.”
Twinkle threw the blanket over her head, groaning. “Uff, Kunj! Tum kabhi serious ho sakte ho ya nahi?”
“Serious?” Kunj leaned closer, pulling the blanket off her face. “I’m serious. Tumhe dekha subah-subah and I thought... kitni khoobsurat lagti ho tum.”
Twinkle blinked, suddenly wide awake. His words caught her off-guard, and she felt her cheeks warm up. “W-What?”
Kunj grinned, clearly enjoying her flustered reaction. “I mean, it’s true. Lekin yeh mat sochna ki main tumhe roz itna compliment dunga.”
Twinkle tried to fight back a smile, quickly brushing off the compliment. “Haan haan, bas karo. Let’s just get ready. We don’t have all day.”

The Breakfast Drama
Twinkle walked into the bathroom to freshen up while Kunj made his way to the kitchen, determined to whip up something simple for breakfast. As he buttered some toast and fried a couple of eggs, he couldn’t help but chuckle to himself.
“Kya baat hai, Mr. Sarna? Chef banne ka shauk kabse lag gaya tumhe?” Twinkle’s voice echoed from the doorway.
Kunj turned around to find her standing there, arms crossed, an amused look on her face. She was wearing a simple kurti and jeans, her hair slightly damp from her shower.
“Bas tumhare liye,” Kunj said, flashing her a playful wink. “Aaj ka nasta main bana raha hoon.”
Twinkle raised an eyebrow, walking over to the counter. “Tum breakfast bana rahe ho? Kahi kitchen blast toh nahi ho jayega?”
Kunj rolled his eyes. “Tumhe itna doubt kyun hai mujh par? I can cook... sometimes.” He handed her a plate with toast and eggs.
Twinkle inspected it carefully, trying to find faults but failing to. “Hmmm, impressive. Lagta hai tum kuch sikh gaye ho.”
Kunj smirked, sitting across from her. “Main sirf tumhe impress karne ke liye chef bana hoon, warna main itna effort kisi ke liye nahi karta.”
Twinkle took a bite, and her eyes widened. “This is actually good,” she admitted, surprised.
Kunj leaned back, a smug grin on his face. “Haan, I know. Tumne kaha tha na, expect the unexpected from me.”
“Don’t get used to my compliments,” Twinkle muttered, but there was a hint of a smile tugging at her lips.
As they ate together, their usual banter filled the room. Kunj would throw in a sarcastic remark here and there, and Twinkle would roll her eyes, but deep down, both of them enjoyed each other’s company.
