Chapter 51

Y/N's POV:

I've been staring at myself in the mirror for the past 15 minutes over the bathroom sink. Just pondering....

Do I do this?

I heard a knock on my door making me jump. I splashed water on my face then quickly dried off with a towel

I nervously went to open the door, twisting the handle with caution and a deep breath

"Good morning" said a happy Maria

I let out my deep breath in a sigh of relief

"Are you good?" She asked at my reaction

I moved aside and let her come in and closed the door

"Morning, yea I'm fine" I said smiling still nervous

"Why are you so jumpy?" Maria asked

I stared at her and let out another sigh

"I thought you were Sabrina" I said

"Why would that be a problem Romeo?" She asked with a teasing smile

"That's actually the problem" I said sitting on the edge of the bed

She sat next to me "what's up?" She asked

"She played me a song last night basically telling me how she felt about me and asked me to be in the music video for it" I said

Maria's eyes widened surprised at that

"That's good isn't it?" She asked

I stayed quiet pondering

"No, I mean I'm flattered but-"

"You've known she likes you" Maria added

"I know, it's just- I can't hide anymore" I said

"Because you're actually single now?" She asked and I nodded

"I mean I felt something for her at one point, and I do still care about her-" I said pausing

"But?" She asked

"But I don't think I can give her anything, not now at least" I said

"But you don't have anyone controlling you anymore" she said

"But it's not like I can just fall out of love like nothing and move on. We talked last night and I told her that. She agreed we should just be friends but she still wants me to do her music video as like a last goodbye for now" I said

"So what's holding you back?" She asked

"I don't want to hurt Camila" I said

"Well she's hurt you a bunch of times" she said

"But I'm not the type to get revenge. Yes, she did stupid things but she didn't intentionally mean to hurt me. That's not a healthy way of living, constantly hurting each other back" I said

"Y/n don't beat yourself up so much, it's just a video. You're not marrying the girl" she said

"It's just... I know it's going to hurt her" I said looking down

"Maybe so, but you're also going to hurt Sabrina if you say no" she said

I groaned throwing my body back to land on the bed

"Y/n, just do what you think is right in your heart" she said as nicely as she could

I stared up at the ceiling

"Your heart will answer for you in the end" she said "if you do it, just have fun. It should be a hypothetical situation anyways, get it out of your system in that way" she said encouragingly tapping my leg
