Chapter 47

Y/N's POV:

"That was perfect" I said to Sabrina as she finished singing in the booth

She stepped out of the booth and came to sit next to me

She had finished singing for her cover of White Christmas which I put a somewhat modern feel to it but also keeping it as traditional and classic as I could

We had finished this track, one called Buy Me Presents, and she made a Christmas remix for Nonsense which was absolutely unhinged

My eyes were focused on the computer screen as I layered and mixed tracks concentrating incredibly hard

I heard her giggle then my eyes followed the sound

She was blushing as she laughed reading a text message

I raised an eyebrow but tried not to pay any mind to it. She had been so tuned into her phone lately. Usually when we're working she puts her phone away

I cleared my throat and it got her attention

"Uh do you want to hear?" I asked

"Oh sorry, yea let's hear it" she said smiling giving me her attention now

I pressed play as we heard it all together and I smiled at how great she sounded

She grew excited and started squirming around enthusiastically

"Oh my god, y/n I love it" she basically shouted over the loud music

"Yea, you did amazing" I responded

"We. We did amazing" she said giving me a high five

We tweaked a few more things for another hour til she said we deserved a break so she ordered food for us to eat

Her friends were going to come over a little later I just came early so we could work

"So I think something like this could suit you as well" I said as I played her some songs from Mariah Carey's Christmas album

"Yes!! I love that" she said agreeing with me

I took a sip of my drink and she spoke up

"So I was thinking-" she said getting my attention

I stared up at her bright blue eyes

"What if we take a trip to the snow?" She asked

I just stared at her to continue

"We should go to the mountains, get a cabin and like go skiing and stuff. Have the whole gang come just so that we can get into the Christmas spirit more and gather more inspiration" she said excitedly

"That would be really cool" I said smiling at her

"I mean there's only so much we can do with this California weather. I think it'll be cute and we can even take pics for the album cover and shoot a music video" she said rambling on with so much enthusiasm

I smiled widely because her charm and excitement was so contagious but it slowly started to fade at the thought of my girlfriend, surely this is something she wouldn't be all too comfortable with

"That's a great idea" was all I could say at the moment to not bring down her happiness and excitement

"We can start making plans with the group when they get here later" she said and I nodded in agreement

When we finished our meal we got back to work

"Okay I think it's time for a new song, any other ideas?" I said
