Misty
I tried to avoid wedding planning, but no such luck. Since Alana asked me to stand up at the wedding, I had to help with it. Why can't I buy a dress and stand beside Kadia? Why do I need to help?
Elias made himself scarce and avoided anything related to the wedding. When anyone asked Tori about it, she evaded the question like the plague. But then again, his mother wasn't a fan of wedding planning since Matthew had to organize everything himself.
Let's refresh, shall we?
Pat forgot to get her wedding dress. Nate made sure she had one so Lucille didn't lose her shit. Nash and I eloped, making Nate and Pat suspicious. We didn't confirm their suspicions until the actual wedding date. Lyric and Michael had a traditional wedding. However, Michael had more input than Lyric did. She wanted to elope. Matthew organized his wedding and called it a date for Nora and her brother. Elias didn't care if there was a wedding. If he could say I do and bolt, he would have. Kadia told us that Val's brothers had forgotten him on their wedding day.
Yep, that's wedding planning 101 in a nutshell in this family.
Grandma and Nana handed me a list of items they needed from town and sent me on my way. I dragged Tino with me to ease the pain. If I have to suffer, so does he. We would have enlisted the cousins to help, but they were plotting how to make the pastor disappear. Don't ask.
Tino drove to town, pulled up in front of a store, and parked. We got out and glanced around.
"What's the first thing on the list?" Tino asked, looking at the list of wedding supplies.
"Wedding decorations."
Tino arched his brow at me. The last time I shopped for decorations with Nash, I was buying stuff for my room at Nate and Pat's house. He tried to converse with me while I avoided it like the plague.
We entered the store, and Tino grabbed a cart. I glanced at him and laughed. His lips curled into a smile before he laughed at the irony of the situation.
We walked down the aisles, checking out the decorations.
"So, what do you like to do for fun?" Tino asked.
I looked at him, raised my brow, and smirked. "Oh, this and that." I shrugged.
Tino shook his head and chuckled.
I stopped in front of the shopping cart and faced Tino. "I prefer to spend time with my boyfriend, who steals my popcorn and shares my pop while we argue about the movie. I have to entice him to the dark side with cookies." My lips curled into a smile.
Tino leaned over the shopping cart and smiled at me. "I loved it when you enticed me to the dark side with your cookies. You make the best cookies. Chocolate chip cookies are my favorite."
I placed my hands on the cart and leaned forward. "Is that so?"
"Peanut butter is a close second."
"What about chocolate chip peanut butter cookies?"
"You had me at chocolate and peanut butter." Tino moved around the cart, tugged me to him, and crashed his lips into mine.
I cupped his face and kissed him back.

ValentinoMags made my two favorite cookies when she baked them at home: chocolate chip and peanut butter. When she combined both, she won my heart, hands down. We incorporated them at the bakery since they were my favorite.
We broke from our kiss and gathered the decorations before our parents questioned us. We were standing before the steamers and balloons when we heard a crash. We exchanged glances before checking out the commotion. That was our first mistake.
