EMMA REMEMBERED THE FIRST TIME SHE HELD LADY MIELLE IN HER HANDS. What a tiny and beautiful little creature she was. Lady Mielle was straight out of her mother, Madam Countess Roscente's womb. Emma wouldn't dare the forget the kind of beauty and tenderness the Countess Roscente had.

"–You, will you be the nanny of my daughter?" The Countess had walked up towards her with a soft face

"–You, will you be the nanny of my daughter?" The Countess had walked up towards her with a soft face. Emma could barely process such an idea.

Emma, who was just a lowly new servant had been easily promoted and given a smooth treatment through the Countess. Just like that, she was the nanny to the unborn child of Countess Roscente.

In Emma's eyes, the Countess was the perfect goddess, the perfect image of a noble lady. And therefore, the Countess's children must also be god-sent. The woman was flawless in everything, her manners speaking to her maids were soft and tender.

However... fate had taken her that day. She had lost too much blood during the labor process and she was unable to survive to this day.

Emma, although, once having appreciated the Countess's kindness, would still struggle to remember her face. What kind of expression was the Countess making? Was she happy that her daughter was born? Was she sad that she had to pass away before seeing her children grow up?

Emma dared not to disappoint her. The Countess had given her the responsibility to take care of her fragile daughter.

Emma looked down at the weary child who was crying in an adorned pink blanket and told the child, "Even though your mother has passed away, I will give you all the care in the world."

Since that day, Emma spared nothing to make that child happy

Since that day, Emma spared nothing to make that child happy.

Mielle. Mielle. Mielle. That was all on Emma's mind all the time. How does one raise the child to grow up to be the proper lady that the late Countess would have been proud of? How would Lady Mielle grow up without a mother's guidance?

Emma took care of all those roles. She played the role of a governess, a tutor, a caretaker, and a mother. It was difficult to raise someone else's child as one's own, but Emma had already had it down.
