---ASHER'S POV---
Asher became stiff when he heard the amount. He turned his head around, and laser focused on the person who made such a bet. four hundred gold? That's enough to be promoted to the Middle-Ranking Section to gamble, what was such person doing in this section?
"Deal accepted," The dealer announced but there was some hesitation in the dealer's voice. "The total bets made for this round are: 580 gold coins,"
That was easily for a commoner a 3x times what they would win a lower-ranking section of a Casino. For some, that money was enough to change their lives for almost a year or three. Asher made no sounds, as this kind of bets were common in a casino.
In the higher-ranking and middle-ranking sections, bets of total six hundred coins were easily made. However, for it to reach such a high amount in a Lower-Ranking section was quite rare. Very rare even. Improbable.
Chances were this person was a higher-ranking member with a disguise and fake name. They must be some high-ranking person to be able to forge such an identity. Even if they were, why would such a person come to the Lower-ranking sections of the Casino?
Asher had only questions, but kept quiet and had a calm demanour as the game progressed. The dealer tossed the dice and placed it immediately in a cup. The others around his became steady. Some even clasped their hands together tight, praying that they win the bet.
"The outcome for this dice roll is..." The drum-roll continued in the audience as the dealer announced looking at the cup. "... one three, and one one again! Congratulations, Asher, Player #5," The dealer announced.
Woah, Asher became a little surprised with his consecutive win this time. He nodded as he won this round. There was only one round left... and after this round, he would run and investigate this woman immediately. It was as if....she was the missing puzzle piece to all the mysteries happening in the Kingdom right now.
He must put his tail on her. Who was she... and what motives does she have?
"Finally, contestants, you must put in your desired bets for the final round." The dealer announced. "This is the final round."
Asher hesitated but he only became more curious this round. He placed sixty gold coins this round to play safe. He would lose sixty only for this round. The others placed a similar amounts around him.
But this time, the woman raised her hand, and placed: "800."
Silence ensued.
That was almost the highest bet anyone had placed in ages-! It was difficult for some Middle-Ranking section members to place 800 gold coins that easily out of nowhere-! Asher was now pretty sure, whatever department this trickery ensued, this woman would be part of the problem he was trying to solve.
"Deal accepted." The Dealer announced.
Some people around the casino even fainted with the noise of astronomical figures. The Dealer continued, as they said, "The bets of this round has been made: with an allotted bet of 930 gold. coins."
Whoever won That kind of money would be rich enough to buy a baron status immediately! Asher realized that this would only get more tough from here. Anyone luck here would leave with a Baron status on their way back.
Asher looked towards the woman sitting in front of him. This... was certainly getting interesting.
"With the total bets made... the outcome of this dice roll is..." The drum-roll of suspense continued. "One two and One three!" The dealer announced.
