Interlude: A Never-Happy Ending Saga

A/N: THIS IS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF OTHER CHARACTERS... 

"HAVE ANY OF HEARD OF THIS TALE of the Vicar's Beautiful Daughters?" The Merchant asked the gallantly-sitting man in front of him. The man, who sat on an ornated chair prompted to look up towards the Merchant with an answer saying, "No,"

"Well, then, to begin with, in a long distant land... there lived a religious, man of well-faith and honorable Vicar who had one daughter named Dulce. She was also known to be a woman of good-faith and loving reputation. Both of them led very esteemed and peaceful lives until the Vicar had brought in a new wife and a new daughter into the family to complete it..." 

"The step-daughter, Carol... was a very intelligent and lovely woman. She and her mother had planned to please the Vicar into taking them in out of pity so that they could rise in social status, however... what they weren't expecting was Dulce's adamant attitude towards all of this." 

"Dulce had taken the news a lot more lightly than the Vicar had imagined, and it pleased him so he left both sisters to form a lovely bond with each other. However, what he didn't know was that both Dulce and Carol from now on were internal enemies." 

"Both sisters would continue a livid game of cat-mouse situations where neither would emerge victorious," 

"However, Carol's intelligence and beauty had won over the support of the Kingdom's Prince and other esteemed bachelors. Carol intended to kick out Dulce and take her inheritance that the Vicar had only planned to give to his biological daughter Dulce. Her jealousy of Dulce's seemingly perfect life had led her down a path of self-conceitedness and evil. Similarly, Dulce felt as if Carol's beauty and intelligence was out charming her, so Dulce had to come up with a plan to destroy Carol before she becomes too powerful. As Dulce's standing was on danger and on the verge of falling, so she took a last measure of poisoning her father and falsely accusing Carol for murder.

Dulce's resort to kill her father, who had always favored her over anything, was Dulce's route of vanity and cruelty. She thought that her only father was now a stepping stone for her survival. Dulce had also mistakenly one by one taking out her allies out of fear of Carol's gaining power. 

Carol out of fear, had also taken action to make her mother Cathrine, poison Dulce to stop Dulce's antics at once," 

However, before Dulce could drink the poisoned tea that Catherine had given her, Dulce's maid drank it instead and died in her stead. Catherine was immediately imprisoned for attempted murder.

Carol, out of fear that Catherine's bad reputation of killing someone would impact her, threw her mother out and played a victim card to the world." 

Dulce, who now had lost everything, due to her craziness committed suicide to frame Carol for once. However, the Prince came and saved Carol and proved Dulce's craziness to the entire world. And then killed Dulce for attempting to harm Carol. 

Then Carol, who had worked all these years, was finally re-united with the Prince and became the Princess of the Kingdom. With that, the two sisters who were seemingly jealous of each other, had caused a tremendous tragedy to everyone around them just for the sake of security and stability in their lives. That is the tragic ending of the story. What do you think of it?" 

The Merchant finally concluded his long story and received plenty of applause from the audience who cheered at last. But the merchant dared to not become prideful because he stood and bowed towards the man sitting in the highest chair of the audience seat. 

The man was indeed a powerful man, although he could also be described as beautiful. His silver long hair and golden yellow eyes, along with his long lashes and a strong figure was indeed that of a powerful aura.
