---INTERLUDE: AFTER ISIS'S BIRTHDAY PARTY'S CHAOS---
IT WAS A couple of days after her coming-of-age ceremony had occurred, and all of the drama about the Crown Prince crashing into her birthday had just calmed down the storm.
Isis's pleasant afternoon tea was not as pleasant as it seemed. Internally for days, Isis was thinking about the deal that she had made with Mielle Roscente.
So, indeed Isis was correct. The artifacts belonged to Mielle herself, and no one else knew about those artifacts other than Mielle and her maid. How interesting to see such a lady take the initiative in this patriarchal world.
Isis sighed, so such a mystery came into an end. But another set of new mysteries and questions continued. Isis didn't like Mielle's answer to why she was obsessed with keeping such artifacts of the deceased and criminal Viscount Louvre.
"I'm interested in magic," The young woman had once told her.
At first, it seemed ridiculous to believe in such things! Magic?! Magic of all things?! Is that even possible?
Isis scoffed at such an idea. But still, if someone as ambitious and intelligent as Lady Mielle was interested in such a thing, why wouldn't Isis be too? Surely, there must be something within the idea of magic.
Does it exist in this world?
Isis shook her head, she instead took out a letter from her study drawers and pulled it out. A fond memory came into her head.

THE DAY DURING ISIS'S BIRTHDAY: (parallel to scene of Ch. 37) continuation..
"So Lady Mielle why do you think he's going to take the risk of r...reopening the C-Casino... what if it ends in Failure? How much is Lady Mielle going to wager for that?" Isis asked, her brows furrowing at me in all seriousness.
Mielle calmly sipped her tea in front of her as she said, "I wager–" she reached out under bodice and pulled out a piece of crumpled letter from her hand.
A letter?! Isis's face grew concerned as Mielle handed her the letter. Isis noticed there had been no official seal or stamping engraved to it.
"There is no Roscente seal," Isis spoke. "What is the meaning of all of this?"
"I'm not making you a deal with the Roscente name, in fact I'm making a deal with you, just as Mielle. Not Lady Mielle Roscente, but as Mielle, a person," Mielle spoke. "I want you to only open the letter if the news in three days comes true that the Crown Prince will open up all the Casinos once again."
"What?" Isis said, her voice sharper than she intended, "Are you trying to say that I should throw everything away, while you only get away yourself? What do you intend to make me do? What is the wager?"
"It's no wager until three days later, wait... if the Crown Prince fails to open the Casino, then you can forget that this conversation, ever happened. Or other wise, you follow what's written in there," Mielle spoke faintly, folding her hands neatly over the table.
"If—" Isis began, leaning in slightly, her tone more measured, "If this news of the Crown Prince reopening the casinos is true, why involve me? What would you gain by making me privy to this?" Isis was confused.
"It's simple... such a calculated move from the Crown Prince can only have other possibilities," Mielle continued. "But Lady Isis, you are not one to let an opportunity slip through your fingers. If the casinos reopen, fortunes will rise and fall overnight. I imagine you'd rather be the former than the latter."
