It was late at night, and Jimin was curled up on his couch with his phone in hand. The glow from the screen illuminated his face as he waited for Jungkook to pick up. After a few rings, the call connected, and he heard Jungkook’s familiar voice on the other end.

"Hey," Jungkook’s voice was soft but playful. "You still up?"

"Yeah," Jimin said with a smile that Jungkook couldn’t see but could definitely hear in his voice. "Couldn’t sleep. What about you?"

"Same," Jungkook replied. "I was just thinking about you, actually."

Jimin laughed lightly, a warm flutter stirring in his chest. "Oh really? And what exactly were you thinking about?"

"About how I haven’t seen you in two whole days," Jungkook teased, "and that feels like forever."

Jimin rolled his eyes, but his heart was doing little flips. "Oh, come on. We’re not teenagers, Jungkook."

"Speak for yourself," Jungkook said with a chuckle. "I’m over here acting like one. I’ve been checking my phone every five minutes waiting for your texts."

Jimin’s laugh turned a little bashful. "Okay, fine. Maybe I’ve been doing the same thing."

"Ha! I knew it!" Jungkook’s voice was triumphant. "You’re just as bad as me."

"Maybe," Jimin said, biting his lip, unable to stop smiling. "But it’s not like I mind. It’s... nice, you know?"

Jungkook’s voice softened. "Yeah. It’s really nice. Talking to you just makes my day better, no matter how hectic work is. It’s like everything calms down when I hear your voice."

Jimin’s heart skipped a beat. "You’re smooth, you know that?"

Jungkook chuckled. "I’m just being honest. So, what are you doing right now? Besides talking to me, obviously."

Jimin stretched out on his couch, his legs crossed. "Not much. Just lying here, staring at the ceiling. You?"

"Pretty much the same," Jungkook said. "Though, I was thinking about how I should take you out this weekend. Maybe somewhere fun? We could go to that new rooftop café everyone’s been talking about."

Jimin perked up at the idea. "A rooftop café? That sounds nice. But don’t you think people will start noticing if the CEO of a car company is hanging out with a florist all the time?" he teased.

Jungkook laughed. "Let them notice. I’m not hiding you. In fact, I’d rather the world know I’m spending time with someone as amazing as you."

Jimin felt his cheeks heat up, his heart fluttering at Jungkook’s words. "You’re impossible, you know that?"

"Impossible? Or irresistible?" Jungkook quipped.

"Definitely impossible," Jimin replied, though his smile betrayed his teasing tone. "But maybe a little irresistible too."

"That’s what I thought," Jungkook said, his voice playful but filled with affection. "So, what do you think? Saturday?"

"Saturday sounds perfect," Jimin agreed. "Though I might need to close up the shop a bit early."

"I’ll help you," Jungkook said easily. "I can carry a few flowerpots around. It’s no big deal."

Jimin chuckled at the mental image of Jungkook, CEO of a successful company, carrying flowerpots around his shop. "I’ll hold you to that."

"You should," Jungkook said, his voice dropping to a more serious tone. "I meant what I said before. I like spending time with you, Jimin. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt like this."

Jimin’s breath hitched slightly at the sincerity in Jungkook’s voice. He swallowed, his heart racing. "I feel the same, Jungkook. It’s kind of crazy, right? How fast this happened."

"Yeah," Jungkook said softly. "But it feels right, doesn’t it?"

Jimin smiled, his eyes closing as he relaxed into the sound of Jungkook’s voice. "It does."

There was a comfortable silence between them for a moment, neither one feeling the need to fill the space with words. It was as though the quiet said everything they wanted to, without needing to speak.

"Okay, so Saturday it is," Jungkook said, breaking the silence. "I’ll pick you up at five?"

"Sounds good," Jimin replied. "But only if you bring your flower-carrying muscles with you."

Jungkook laughed. "Deal. I’ll see you then."

"Goodnight, Jungkook," Jimin said softly, reluctant to hang up but knowing they both needed to sleep.

"Goodnight, Jimin. Sweet dreams."

Jimin hung up the phone and lay back on the couch, his heart full and his mind spinning. He felt like he was back in high school, falling for someone and enjoying every little moment they shared. He couldn’t help but smile, feeling like maybe, just maybe, he was falling in love with Jungkook.
