Almost a month had passed since the last bouquet arrived at Jimin's flower shop. He hadn't received any more flowers, and he hadn't tried to reach out to Jungkook either. Life moved forward, even if it wasn't as beautiful or as fulfilling as it had been before. Jimin kept busy with his shop, his hands always arranging blooms while his heart remained guarded.
The days blurred together in their quiet rhythm, a routine Jimin had grown used to. But today, that routine was interrupted.
The soft chime of the shop door opening pulled him out of his thoughts. He turned around, expecting to see a customer, but instead, there stood Jungkook-looking slightly disheveled yet still managing to take his breath away. In one hand, he held a bouquet of flowers, the other arm still in a cast, the reminder of his recent accident.
"Jungkook..." Jimin whispered, barely audible. His heart skipped a beat, the air suddenly feeling heavy.
"Hi, beautiful..." Jungkook greeted him, his voice soft yet filled with something unspoken, something familiar.
Jimin just stood there, rooted to the spot. His eyes met Jungkook's, searching for answers, but all he could see was the same boy he had loved, the same man he had walked away from.
Jungkook, undeterred by Jimin's silence, began walking toward him. Each step he took felt deliberate, closing the distance between them, yet it wasn't just the physical space between them that needed bridging.
"Can we have a talk?" Jungkook's voice was steady, but there was an edge of vulnerability that Jimin hadn't heard in a long time.
Jimin blinked, his mind reeling. He was too stunned to respond immediately. After all this time, after all the distance and pain, Jungkook was here, standing before him with a bouquet in hand, just like before. But this time, things were different-everything was different.
Jimin's lips parted as if to speak, but no words came out. His chest tightened, emotions swirling inside him. He wasn't sure what Jungkook wanted to say, or why he had come, but part of him-despite everything-still longed to hear him out.
After what felt like an eternity, Jimin finally found his voice, though it was barely above a whisper.
"Okay..." he managed, his eyes not leaving Jungkook's.
And in that moment, as Jungkook stood there with flowers in his hand and hope in his eyes, Jimin knew that whatever conversation they were about to have, it would change everything-again.
