you were walking your way to your younger sister, minju's school to pick her up. you waited at the usual spot where you always waited for her.

you looked around, finding some familiar faces, mrs park from the grocery store, mrs kim from the bookstore, mr lee from the cafe and kim woonhak from your school-

wait, kim woonhak?

you furrowed your eyebrows, looking back at the tall boy that was among the people. "what is he doing here?" you asked yourself, looking at the boy who was busy playing with his phone.

woonhak and you were schoolmates, nothing much, he probably didn't even know you since you transferred to the school a few months ago. you heard a lot of him from your best friend, kyujin. she told you that he's known for his bright and friendly attitude, he's even friends with some of the senior.

as what you knew from your friends, you labelled him as the "typical sunshine" in school that everyone liked.

you found him interesting, you never saw someone in your life smiled that much like him, he just made everyone around him happy. that's why, you're curious about him in person.

*ring*

the school bell finally rang, you walked closer to the school gate and you could see him doing the same thing as well, that's when you realised that he's probably here to pick up his siblings as well.

you actually hesitated if you should say hi or not but you didn't since he probably didn't even know you. you looked down at your phone, replying some messages while waiting for minju.

woonhak actually spotted you as well, he only recognised you when he got closer to your side. he stared at you for a few seconds before looking away, decided not to greet you, having the same reason as you.

you and woonhak continued to wait, not knowing you both were stealing glances from time to time.

you stepped closer when you saw minju was coming out from the gate with her best friend, wooju. you smiled, waving at the two of them as they were walking to you side.

"unnie!"

"oppa!"

you furrowed your eyebrows, turning around, immediately locking eyes with woonhak who was a few steps behind you.

you and wooju met a few times before, minju was the one who introduced her to you since you always pick her up after school. sometimes, you even walked wooju back to her house because it was close to yours but you had no idea she had a brother.

wooju dragged her brother to your side, looking at the two of you, "this is minju's older sister, she's-"

"y/n, i know," he answered before she finished her words. they tilted their in confusion and asked, "how did you know her name?"

he looked at you before answering, "uh, we're schoolmates, that's why." his answer caught you off guard, you didn't expect him to know your name at all.

they nodded at his answer, minju tapped your arm, "can wooju and i hang out at the new ice cream shop?"

wooju looked at woonhak as well, asking for his permission.

you and him looked at each other and nodded at their request.

"sure, let's go."
