"guys, happy new year, see you guys after the break!"

some of your colleagues said, waving their hands as they were leaving the company to celebrate new year with their families. everyone in the company were all having a break from work, some of them already went back to their hometown a few days ago, even your boss left earlier just to drive back to their hometown.

you didn't have to worry about going back since this was your hometown. you were still working on some script, the company was nearly empty by now, leaving you and few of your colleagues.

"y/n, we're going now, bye!" your colleagues bid farewell to you as you waved back at them.

you smiled, looking at them walking out the department, you then looked around, furrowing your brows when you noticed there's still someone else in their place since their lights were on. you slightly got up from your seat, trying to figure out who was there.

"leehan?" you tilted your head in confusion, wondering what was he doing there and not going back to his place.

from what you'd heard through your colleague's gossiping mouth, you knew he was originally from busan which was a place far from where the two of you worked. so by now, he should've already left the company.

you couldn't hold your curiosity anymore, you got up from your seat and walked towards his table. you stood behind his seat and tapped on his shoulder, trying to get his attention since he was wearing his headphones.

leehan flinched a little, turning around to see who was behind him. he stared at you with confusion writing on his face, "hi?" he muttered out.

you smiled at his reaction and asked, "hey, are you not going back to your hometown to celebrate new year with your family?" he shook his head, he answered, "not this year, couldn't get a ticket and my friends are back in their hometown already so i'm staying here for the new year."

you nodded at his words, you thought that it's such a shame that he needed to celebrate new year by himself. you were in your thoughts for awhile which made him stared at you with his head tilted, wondering why were you being so quiet.

"do you want to join me?"

he furrowed his brows, not getting what you were saying. you said, "i meant, do you want to celebrate new year with my family?" he was surprised at your sudden invitation, he said, "are you serious?" you nodded with a smile, "yeah, it'll be boring if you celebrate new year by yourself, i'd done that before, my family wouldn't mind if i bring a friend over, they love meeting new people," you added, assuring him that it's okay for him to celebrate new year with your family.

he thought for a moment since this was the first time he ever got invited to someone's house to celebrate new year, he looked at you who was waiting for his answer, he eventually nodded at your invitation.

you smiled after he agreed, you said, "great, are you done with your things?" he nodded, "yeah, just need to save the videos." you nodded, "let's go to your place first then, you need to pack your things," you told him.

"i'll grab my things, wait for me, let's go together."

"you can come in," leehan told you after he opened the door. you and him walked into his place, "i'll go and pack my things, you can look around if you want to," he said before walking into his room.

you looked around his place, noticing there's a few pictures of him with his family and friends. "wow, he's been this good looking ever since he was young, huh?" you mumbled, looking at his pictures.
