-Tamara never had a good relationship with her parents before meeting Luna, Theo and Bruno.

-It's because both of her parents would always pressure her to be a normal girl 24/7

-They would always force her to study all day with no breaks, forced her to wear uncomfortable girly clothes and would make her participate in child pagaents.

-She used to get bullied by a lot of girls in the child pagaents because they would often look down on her, insulting her for her clothing appearance, her weight, etc. Sometimes they would even play mean pranks on her for no reason other than pure spite.

-Whenever Tamara would always try to tell her parents about the bullying, They would often brush it off and claim that she's trying to make up excuses to not be part of the pagaent.

-Her father was always controlling to her, from her clothing choices to her eating choices to even her grades. (It's because she wanted to have a perfect normal little girl and not some weird freak.)

-If she ever failed to get good grades or failed to win any beauty pagaents, She would often hit her with a ruler or with a whip.

-Her parents didn't approve of her dream of a tattoo artist and would force her to pursue other "Normal" careers like a fashion designer or a model. Everytime she objected to those dreams, They would always force her to go along with it.

-Her parents were also homophobic and also didn't approve of her sexuality and would make arranged dates and marriages with guys in order to "Fix" her sexuality. (They think it's not normal for girls to be gays and think that Tamara was being gay as part of her "Rebellious phase.")

-She was once nearly groomed by one of the child pagaent judges who wanted her to come backstage to give her a "Reward" only for her to freak out when he kissed her and attempted to take off her clothes before running off and reporting it to the police. (The judge got arrested after that.)

-She still has the ruler markings and the bruises she got from her mom to this day, but hides it with her clothes.

-After she ran away from her house, She cut ties with her parents for good and never spoke to them again.

-She never told anyone about her past and the only ones who do know are Bruno, Luna and Theo.

-One day, While Tamara was picking up Harley from school, She encountered her parents again who began to ask her where she was and why she ran away from them, before insulting her and her girlfriend Luna (Who was next to her waiting for Harley.) and demanding that she come back home this instant, which they claim they have a guy that they're planning to have her marry.  She finally then snapped when she found out about this and proceeded to tell them off for their controlling behaviour claiming that she won't be coming back to her family ever again and that Theo, Luna and and Bruno are her real family and not them, before telling them to fuck off and leaving after that. (What she didn't know was that Harley was watching it but neither did Tamara noticed her since she was too busy arguing with her parents.)

-When Harley asked Tamara about those two people, She was hesistate to reveal her past at first to her and the rest, until She grew enough confidence to confess that they were her parents and explained her past to them. After that, Harley and Luna hugged her and assured her that they wouldn't have to deal with them anymore and that they will never leave her.

-Tamara was told that her parents and the man that they were gonna force her to marry got arrested for their crimes and that her parents got killed in prison by the prisoners there. She was happy that they got arrested and didn't feel any sympathy for their deaths, to them. They had it coming.
