One blueberry bagel later, and a full tummy, I sit perched on a kitchen stool. River stands at the counter across from me, his arms crossed, his eyes not leaving for a moment since I've sat down. He wouldnt even let me prepare my own bagel. I lick my fingers clean before looking up at him.

"It's rude to stare, you know?" I quip up at him. He stands there, the glare only getting stronger.

okay... captain buzzkill.

I ball up my napkin, throwing it onto my plate.

"Thanks for the food River, but I think I'm gonna head back to my room now." I scoot my chair out from under me, but before I even grab my plate, Larson walks in. He stands with his hands tucked into his pockets, a deep unreadable expression on his face.

I shiver at the cold that suddenly entered the room.

Both boys stare at me before Larson grabs a chair and takes a seat, facing me and River both. His legs bobs up and down quickly, his knuckles white from the fists he has clenched tightly.

"Are you okay Lar-"

"Don't. Just... Not now." he speaks up. He sends me a quick look before return his gaze to his friend. He sends River a soft nod. The dark brunette stands and makes his way to the counter I'm currently still at.

He cracks his neck to he side before repeating it on his knuckles. I feel every crack deep In my chest. I cant help the pants that start to come out my mouth, the anxiety slowly climbing up my throat.

what is going on right now... are they kicking me out? I cant help the words that come out my mouth.

"You're evicting me... right?" I ask. I bite my lip, the sting of tears suddenly making an appearance. River furrows his brows as he takes a seat.
