Ellie's pov
I wake up to my dad hitting me with a pillow. "Get up, we have a flight at 5:30" he says shaking my bed aggressively. "Ugh, it's still dark outside!" I argue.

"Ellie I'm not messing around get up" he says once again. "Fine" I trail off sitting up. I make my way to my vanity and turn on my speaker before starting my makeup.

Indie stood in my doorway to annoy me before throwing his hat to get my attention. "Just now getting up? I've been packed and ready for two hours" he brags.

"I don't care, it's 4:00 in the morning" I reply. "Be nice to me I got you coffee" he says, I lighten up from hating him to loving him.

"Yay! Thanks" I say grabbing it from him. After I got ready I walked into the kitchen with my suitcase. I grabbed Rayne from mama so she could get her things. As I walked to my dads truck I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.

Raelynn:
Hey is your dad performing at stagecoach? We just got on our flight so maybe I'll see you.

Ellie:
Oh my gosh yes! He is! We're leaving right now.

Raelynn:
Yay! See you then!

I smile at my phone and stare out the window as we drive. "Dad is indie my so called 'guardian' for this?" I ask.
"Yes, he always is" He replies.

Indie smirks at me and I roll my eyes. "We always have a good time don't even" he mentions. "Fine maybe we do.." I reply giving him satisfaction.

Indies pov
My phone buzzed in my pocket and I pulled it out curious to who would be texting me this early.

Lainey Hardy:
Hey Indie, just wanted to invite you and Ellie to my birthday party next week, it'll just be a chill bbq at my house.

Indigo Wallen:
I'm sure we'll be able to make it, thanks for the invite.

"Who's that?" Ellie asks staring over my shoulder. I huff and show her the text message. "Oooo, Lainey Hardy?" She asks.

"Dad make her stop" I snap. "Ell quit it" Dad blurts. As we pull up to the airport I make an instagram post and of course Ellie made fun of it.

"That's so cringe Indie, stop posting shit like that" She snapped. "Language Ellie" my stepmom scolded.
I laughed at her as we walked to our gate.

Morgans pov
As I walk towards our gate I pulled Ellie towards me so we all were together. I was excited the kids were coming to Stagecoach with me especially since it is Ellie's 15th Birthday.

"So what do you wanna do since it's your birthday?" I ask. "Nothing much, maybe go out to eat or something" she replies.

We got on our flight and headed towards California where Stagecoach would be set up. I'm hoping the kids don't get stopped by too many reporters.

When we arrive I grab Rayne from Kacey and start to walk off the plane. I put my hood over my head to hopefully not catch to much attention for the sake of my children.

"Ellie walk with Indie to baggage claim and meet us back in the cafeteria" I instruct.

Indies pov
I walk towards baggage claim with Ellie and start looking for our bags. I spotted my Camo backpack and grabbed it before looking for Ellie's.

Ellie grabbed her suitcase and we made our way to the cafeteria. I searched for dad and spotted Raynes stroller.
We walked over and sat down with dad who was accompanied by Uncle Bailey and Aunt Sophie.

"Hey Indie! How are you?" Aunt Sophie asks. "I'm good" I reply. My cousins Noah and Raelynn waved and motioned for me to sit with them.

"Hey guys" I say sitting next to Noah. "Hey Indie" they both said simultaneously. I talked to Noah for a bit until we all headed towards the Stagecoach venue.

Ellie's pov
It's a tradition for me to match my dad at concerts so his stylist Amy gave me a replica of the button up he was wearing.

I threw it over my shoulders along with my backstage lanyard. I jumped excitedly checking out the huge stage.
"Don't you get nervous about all these people watching you dad?" I ask.

"A little bit, but after doing this for so long it becomes normal" He replies, I nod. A crowd starts to form and me and Indie make our way through the convention.

We made our way to a red carpet party and I walked through posing for the occasional picture before being stopped by a reporter.

"You mind if we do a quick interview?" The man asks. "I don't mind, just make it quick" I reply.

"Hello country fans! I've got miss Ellie Wallen with us today on the red carpet and we're gonna ask her some questions"

I nod and smile before taking a microphone.

"Ok miss Ellie, what song are you most excited for your dad to sing tonight?"

"Definitely sand in my boots"

"Can you explain your outfit for the fashion folks out there?"

"Of course! So my boots are lucchese my shirt is wrangler my flannel is from my dads stylist Amy and my jeans and hat are wrangler and Stetson"

"Looks like miss Ellie is in style tonight! So you and your dad are matching?"

"Yep! It's a tradition!"

"That's so sweet, well thanks for your time, we're excited to see your dad perform"

"Of course! And thank you"

"This was Ellie Wallen! I'm Micheal James and I'm from Country news official!"

He thanked me again and I walked off towards Indie. "Dads set is in ten minutes let's go" he said grabbing my hand in hopes to not lose me through the huge crowd.

I bumped into a young kid that looked to me my age and apologized. "Oh sorry, I need to slow down" he laughed.
I looked up realizing Indie was nowhere to be found.

I panicked slightly looking intensely all around. "I'm headed towards Morgan Wallen, you know where that is?" He asks. "That's my dad, so, Yes" I reply.

"No way! Ellie Wallen! Your dads a huge inspiration for my music" he mentions. "Your music?" I ask. He nods.
"Yeah, I've only got one song out right now" he mentions.

I lead him towards the stage as I stare at Indies location pinned on my phone. "What's your artist name? I'll follow you" I say.

"Maddox Batson" he replies. "Cool! I think I might've seen you on TikTok a couple times before" I mention as we reach the stage.

"I'm gonna head backstage but you enjoy the show! It was Nice meeting you Maddox" I say waving as I walk through the curtain. "Nice meeting you too Ellie!" He shouted.

Once I got backstage I found my dad getting ready for his show. "What happened? Where have you been?" He asks, concern and relief in his voice as he hugged me.

"I bumped into a kid, and Indie and I got separated, I'm sorry" I explain. "It's fine, I'm just glad your safe" he says.
After awhile of my dads set until he reached Sand In My Boots.

He motioned for me to come on stage and I walked out. The crowd cheered witch made me a tiny bit nervous.

"As some of you know this is my Daughter Ellie and today is her 15th birthday, this one is her favorite so I need y'all to be extra loud for me on this one, also she's matching me witch is sweet" He explains.

I laugh as he led me toward the piano. I sat next to him taking in the crowds cheers and my dad singing.
