Hardys pov
I stare into the reflection of the pond water as I cast my fishing rod. Lainey stands next to me casting hers as well.
The sounds of nature are the only noises.

"Lainey, why so quiet?" I ask, glancing at her sitting on the bank. "Nothin" she says visibly upset.
"You can tell me Lainey, or you can tell mama" I assure.

"It's just, I, I don't know how to tell you" She stutters. I reached my arms out to hug her still unsure of what was going on. "Whatever it is, I'm here ok?" I assure.

"There's a teacher at school who keeps making me uncomfortable, he told me not to say anything and it's eating me alive... I'm sorry" she explained.

My blood boiled seeing the fear in her eyes. "Don't say sorry, it's not your fault baby" I assure holding her fearful body protectively.

"What's this teachers name?" I ask, my voice gentle. "Mr haddock, he's my second period class" she explains.

Later that night I'm up till 2am searching for this guy. Caleigh steps out of our bedroom and rubbed her eyes sleepily. "Y'know your not gonna find his house baby" she mumbled.

"Then I'll wait in his classroom, I'm not letting him get away with this" I explain running on adrenaline and coffee.
"Just breath for a second Micheal, we'll get this handled" she assures.

I lean back in my chair and stare intently at my computer screen. "My babygirl is uncomfortable, he's gonna get the biggest scare of his sad life" I trail off angrily.

Caleighs pov
I walk to Lainey's room to wake her up in hopes she would tell us more. "Wake up babe, it's time for school" I speak softly.

"Morning mama" she said back. "If we have time we'll pick up some coffee on the way" I mention. She smiled and started to get ready.

I overhear her phone call with Ellie who mentioned the same teachers name since she just graduated Middle school. I'm in awe at the things she's saying.

I immediately walk outside to Micheal who was attempting to fix my car that had been broken down.
"Micheal we need to talk" I say.

"What'd I do?" He asks fearfully. "Nothing, I overheard Ellie talking about Mr. Haddock, something about he keeps showing up in the girls bathrooms to quote on quote 'clean them'" I explain.

Michaels eyes grew wide and his face had anger written all over it. "Oh he's done" he vented. "I don't want you or Morgan in jail, just let me talk to her" I say, he agrees.

Lainey's pov
The Mr. Haddock situation had me scared for my life at this point, Ellie on the other hand had bigger plans than I did.

"You let him be in the bathrooms today, I'll douce his ass in pepper spray" she explains. Indie stood in the camera frame listening to our conversation. "Spray who?" He asks.

I cover my camera and told them I was changing. "He's dead" was all I heard from Indie before picking my camera up and popping back into frame.

"Do you own a softball bat?" Indie asks, I nod. "Bring it" he instructed. After hanging up my mama drove me to school and I went in with confidence.

Ellie pulled me to the side and led me to the bathrooms where we had hoped Mr. Haddock would be.
As we walked in there he stood.

Ellie didn't hesitate pulling her Pepper spray from her pocket and emptying the bottle on his eyes. I fearfully slammed his head with my softball bat and stood back staring at him screaming on the floor.

Of course they called our parents and we waited in detention until my dad walked in. He gave me a nod before turning to the principal.

Morgan sat down trying not to crack a smile looking at me and Ellie. Once we left Dad and Morgan took us to get ice cream. "And who's idea was this?" Morgan asks.

"Ellie's, she planned it this morning" I explain, she nods. "Thats my freakin girl" Morgan said. "And the softball bat really did the trick with knocking him out, good job Lainey"

"Thanks" I reply. Me and Ellie laughed about their reactions and hoped our moms would be the same.
Once I got home Dad sent me to my room so he could talk to mama.

"How's your mom react? Are we still going to Las Vegas?" I ask. "She was cool about it, especially after what he did" she explains, I sigh in relief.

"Shoot here comes mine, wish me luck" I say turning off my camera. "I am so proud of you Lainey, that was the most badass thing I've heard a kid do" my mom explains pulling me in for a hug.

I look at my dad in confusion and hug her back. "Thanks mom" I reply.  My dad nodded and sat next to me once mom left.

"You still going to Las Vegas with Ell?" He asks. "I guess, as long as mamas ok with it" I reply. He nodded.
"She's good with it, and you'll be with Morgan and Kacey" he said.

~~~
I grabbed my suitcase and took it outside where I saw Morgan's truck and Indies, Morgan motions me towards Indies so I hop in the backseat.
"You ready for Las Vegas?" They asked. "For sure!" I reply. I stare at Indie as he drives sorta admiring him.
I hate to admit it but I've always liked Indie, his personality, his cute blonde hair his-
Okay I've gotta stop but, I like him a lot. "Can we stop by Starbucks?" Ellie asks Indie. He rolls his eyes at her and shook his head. "Cmon!" She begs.
"You don't hear Lainey complaining, just shush for a second and let me drive" he says shooting a smile at me in the rear view.
Ellie crossed her arms and looked out the window. "How does she not annoy you Lainey?" He asks, I shrug.
