It's finally trip day! I truly have been so excited for this! Las tonight I said goodbye to my mom, promising her again that she can come visit, as Alice told her. It's 5 am right now and I just boarded my flight, a direct one to Rome! It's an 8 hours long flight, plus 6 hours of time difference so once we'll land in Italy will be 7pm. Alice and Leo are coming to pick me up and I can't wait to see them. We're in the air now and since it's a little after 5 am I think I'll get some more shut eye...
After waking up around 8am we all got served with some breakfast, that wasn't bad, then I started to read a little bit. I got a book about Rome and the futures near it so I'm a bit more prepared, I'm basically devouring it, I can't wait to go in our adventures!

After a few hours e we got served a little snack, it was about two hours before landing, and those last two hours I watched a movie, one that I already saw so even tho my attention wasn't full in it it was fine, and then finally we landed!!!
Once off the plane I went to baggage claim, I waited for my bags to come and once I've had them I started walking towards where Alice and Leo are waiting for me. She sent me her location, she told me she would wait outside just to be sure and don't raise any suspicions... "Two minutes..." I mumble to myself looking down at my screen. I just got outside and apparently her car is very near, in fact as I look up from my phone I see her car, she sent a photo of it yesterday so I would know what to look for. I approach it and lightly knock on the window. She turns and smiles big and I hear Leo screaming at the top of his lungs my name, which makes me laugh so hard. Alice comes out of the car to help me out the bags in her trunk and once I get in the car and I'm seated she leans over the console and hugs me "Missed you" "Missed you both too..." "I was the flight?" "Good, slept a bit, ate, read and watched a movie..." "Glad to hear that..." she says pulling away and smiling at me. I then turn to the backseat where Leo is safely strapped to his car seat "Hey pal!!!" "Sebby!!!" "It's good to see you again champ!" I say high-fiving him "I'm happy you're here!" "I'm happy to be here with the two of you!" "Shall we go? You look tired and you must be hungry..." "I am, both of those things..."
The drive to their house is about 40 minutes long and while she's driving we're all making small talk. "Once we get home you can take a shower while I finish to cook our dinner" "Won't it get too late, especially for Leo?" I ask seeing that it's already over 8pm "He had a snack before driving to come get you, don't worry" "Thank you" "No problem..." She helps me carry one of my bags inside when we arrive. Her home is basically right on the beach and she tells me her parents and her sister live just around the corner. She's got a beautiful, typically Italian, house. It has everything, literally everything and I'm already in love with this place. She's got two guests bedrooms one bigger and one smaller. She got the bigger one ready for me. The bed is made, there's towels on it and a welcome basket with some typical Italian things and also she got me the things for the shower so I didn't have to bring mine with me. "This is super cozy, thank you Alice" "You're welcome...take your time with the shower. Some pasta will be waiting for you once you're done" "Thanks" She smiles as she leaves my bedroom and I quickly take a pair of boxers, some shorts and a t-shirt and get under the shower. Feeling the water run over me feels so good and the body wash and shampoo she got me smells amazing. Once I'm all dressed I get out and reach the kitchen. I see Leo siting at the table playing with his fork and Alice serving dinner "Sorry for making you wait buddy" I say ruffling his hair "It's ok Sebby!" "Come on boys, dinner is served" She made a simple tomato sauce pasta with some basil on top and we immediately dig in. After that we all eat some fruit and get on the couch. We talk a bit more, mostly about what's around here and what we can do without going too far, I insist on doing something tomorrow, while Alice told me I could just sleep in and stay in the house for the whole day. Yes I am tired but I'm also used to these things and I don't really want to waste my time here. So we decided to walk around the city here, do some grocery shopping at the local store and relax in the backyard.
Alice went to out Leo to bed about 15 minutes ago and now that she's back she starts to clean the kitchen up. "Need some help?" I ask walking to her "No thank you Sebastian. You should go get some rest" "Mhm that does sound nice..." "I bet!" "Hey..." "Mhm?" I walk closer and pull her in a hug "Thanks for inviting me here for the summer" I tell her before pulling away "I hope that was ok..." I say sheepishly "It was...good night Sebastian" she says gently running her thumb on my cheek "Night Alice"
