Italian Summer - a Sebastain Stan story

18 - Back to school

*Alice pov*

It's back to school...well actually this is the second week of school for Leo who's in kindergarten and the first week back for me, so today I'll be meeting my students for the first time after summertime.
I don't plan on doing a real lesson, I want to know how they are doing and how they spent their vacation, if they had fun and if they got news for me.

After I got Leo all ready for school I got my self ready too and together we packed his lunch before heading out.
Luckily for us his and mine school are both at walking distances from our home.
I walk into his school with him and he's soon greeted by his teacher.
"Bye amore, have a good day ok?"
"You call amore Sebby too!" He points out
"I do, because I love you and him very much!"
"Love you too mamma"
"I'll see you this afternoon"
"Ok!"
"Bye"
"Bye!"
I watch him for a couple of minutes as he settles in and start to talk with a couple of kids in his class before I'm only ten minutes I walk to my own school, greet a couple of colleagues and reach my classroom.
At 9 on the dot students come walking in and once they're all settled we start the day.

(A/n Pretend this whole conversation is in Italian, cause it's Italian class, but it was gonna be way too long to write it in Italian and then translate it for u guys)

"Hello class! Welcome back!"
"Hello Ms. Bianchi!" They all say
"Alright! So as you know we won't be doing a real lesson today...I want to know how you guys are doing, how you spent your summer, tell me everything!" I say excitedly but as always about five students start to talk on top of one another
"Hey...one at a time...Lexie..."
"Hi! So uhm in July I went to visit my grandparents in Arizona and my little cousins were there and then my brother joined us also and we had so much fun and then..."
One by one my students talked about their summer and I loved hearing all about it, then of course it was my turn, I told them everything I did and also told them that I found a special someone, without of course telling them who...

But as we were approaching the end of my lesson I got a call...
"Sorry guys, it's my little boy school..."
"No worries Ms."
I move away and answer
"Hello?"
"Hi, is this Leonardo Bianchi's mom?"
"This is she, is everything alright?"
"This is Mrs. Hales, Leo's teacher. We're pretty sure he's coming down with the flu...his nose is stuffed and he puked, we're running his temp now..."
"Oh god...uhm....I can't come pick him up now I'm in the middle of class, is it ok if I delegate someone to do it?"
"Sure, go ahead and tell me the name and a last name of this person and also date of birth please, so we can check everything"
"Sure, can I call him first so I know if he's available? I'll call you back in two minutes"
"Of course!"

I get back in class so I can inform my students.
"Guys I need to make another call, why don't you start writing down what I've got up on the board, you'll have a wee to return the assignment, doesn't need to be super long..."
"Ok"

I get back out and immediately call Sebastian, cause my babysitter dumped me in April, my friend is still on vacation and I've got no one else to go pick him up...
"Hey doll!"
"Hi...listen I need a favor..."
"Is all ok?"
"Leo is sick at school, he puked and he probably has a fever but I'm stuck in the middle of class and can't go pick him up so I was wondering..."
"I'll pick him up, bring him home and do everything I need to do to make him feel better till you get back ok?"
"Thank you so much! I'll text to you what you can give him as medicine"
"Of course, I'll stop by the pharmacy if I need to"
"I love you"
"Love you too, I'll text once I've got him ok?"
"Yeah thanks!"

I called back the school and gave them all the details they needed and then texted Sebastian which mediche to give him.
He's got to bring Leo to his house cause he doesn't have my house keys and I can't give it to him now, so once I'm done at school in the afternoon I'll go pick him up.

*Sebastian pov*

It was a pretty good day till Alice called me telling me Leo is sick.
I feel so sorry for my little pal, I knew, we both did, that once school started again it was gonna be a matter of time before he came home with something but I hoped it would last more than a week...
I just got dressed and into my car to go pick him up, actually I'm gonna stop really quick to grab the couple of medicines Alice texted me to give him.

Once that's all done I drive to the school and luckily there's not much traffic, it's not like in the centre of NY...
I park my car pretty near the entrance and walk in
"Hello, may I help you?" A woman asks
"Yeah uhm...I'm here to pick up Leonardo  Bianchi, the teacher called saying he was sick"
"Are you a parent?"
"Uh no..."
"Mhm..." she mumble suspiciously
"His mom couldn't come so she asked me if I could pick him up"
"Do you have a written delegation?"
"I don't but-"
"Then I'm afraid I can't give you Leonardo..." she says interrupting me again
"Look...Ms. Bianchi got a call from Mrs Hales saying that Leo puked and has a stuffed nose and possibly a fever too, I'm her boyfriend and I know she left a delegation to Mrs Hales on the phone, please I just want to bring him home and take care of him, I understand it's important for you to make sure who you are giving a child to, but interrupting me as I speak trying to explain isn't very polite..."
"Mr. Stan is that you?" I hear a woman saying so I turn around
"Yeah..."
"I'm Mrs Hales! Follow me..."
"He doesn't have a written delegation..."
"Leo's mom did one while on the phone with me Stacey" she tells her calmly "are you Sebastian Stan born on August 13th 1982 in Romania?"
"I am, here's my ID"
"Thanks...all verified, let's go get your boy"

Oh thank god...that Stacey was starting to get on my nerves...again I understand better safe than sorry but she didn't even let me explain...
"He's with the nurse. Hi Leo, Sebastian came to get you..."
"Hey buddy...you caught a bug?" I ask walking in and picking him up, he instantly hugs me and puts his head in the crook of my neck
"Mhm...hi Sebby"
"Let's get you home ok?"
"Mhmh"
"Could you sign this paper for me Mr Stan?"
"Sure"
I quickly sign the exit form and grab Leo's things before Mrs Hales walks me to the exit
"I apologize for Stacey...Hope you get well soon Leo! Bye!"
"It's ok, have a good day" I say while Leo only waves.
Let's get this boy home!!!
