Marinette in Paris

Roughly Five years ago..

Marinette was amazed when she first laid eyes on Paris. She thought it looked incredible, starting with the well-known icon of the city, Eiffel Tower. It looked fantastic alongside the Seine River, as The water flowed around the city.

Except for a few damaged structures. She wondered what had happened...One could only guess that was why she was urgently called to Paris a few days ago.

Despite completing her previous task, as soon as she found her way to heaven. As soon as she arrived, she was instantly whisked away by the angels there. She was even swiftly assigned a new task by her Head Of Angels.

They made it seem like it was a huge matter. She had wondered what would warrant such damages, as far as she had heard, Paris remained peaceful for some time now.

She didn't have a clue despite analyzing, as those damages would be caused by a huge being which meant that the being is extraordinary, as normal civilians couldn't possibly be the source.

A deep sense of worry settled in her heart, she had never seen this case before. As the damage was done in public yet there is no sign of said being other than the ruckus they left behind.

She didn't dwell long as she had a feeling that she still had a long journey ahead in Paris.

She wasn't wrong at all.

Exactly the next day..

She had gotten up on time and did all her preparation for her first day of school.

She then settled in her new apartment above the bakery and across her new school. She figured that it'll be better for her to have a near vicinity with her school. She also bought some croissants and a box of macaron since a bakery was conveniently located under her newly rented apartment, which was run by a kind old lady. Said lady was her landlord who owned the building, she had rented out her studio apartment on the highest floor, 3rd floor which had a beautiful rooftop balcony. In the 2nd floor, where she lives and the first/ground floor is where her bakery is operated.

That lady reminded her of her parents in heaven, who were also bakers. Additionally the building was also similar to her house structure in heaven, as she also had a large room back home.

She was waiting for the green light and holding a box of colorful colored macaron, as she thought of distributing it in her new class. As a habit, she was always observing her surroundings and in her peripheral view, she spotted an old man who was crossing the street while a fast incoming car was approaching.

Instinctively, she rushed onto the street and grabbed (more like dragged) the old man to safety on the sidewalk, despite the clumsy method not being her usual self as she had no choice. They barely made it, as the car honked and zoomed forward. She couldn't help but sigh in relief and shook her head at the car's carelessness.

She knew that the old man was partly at fault, but who can blame him, as he is an elderly. The car should've stopped at the sight. Also the fact that no other people bothered to help with the poor old man, who was having trouble walking with a cane!

As she checked the old man's well-being, "Are you fine, Sir?"

He nodded his head, "Thank you Ms, I am unharmed because of you"

She smiled at his sincere thanks and offered him the box of macaron. His eyes widened in surprise, "Would you like some macaron?"

He nodded and took one macaron, "Mmhh, Delicious! Thank you once again for your help."
