A few hours later..
He was currently in his room lamenting his fate. Initially, he had been busying himself to read some books as usual. But..He couldn't focus so, he ended up discarding the book and taking up his other hobby, which was to draw.
He opened his sketchbook to be met with a familiar face in one of its pages...A beautiful face indeed, the one he was trying to ease her missing presence, his beloved, Marinette. She looked pretty in his sketch, she was smiling, it seemed as if the room had lit up.
He missed her even if he doesn't want to admit it out loud, knowing his brothers were going to tease him to death.
Damian had been lamenting at the loss of Marinette's presence. She would usually be by his side, chatting happily to him. They would've spent some time together.
Damian felt as if she was lost from his grasp. Sand slipping through his hands.
The longer he stared at her drawings in the pages in his sketchbook, he had filled his book's pages with drawings of her alongside scenery.
Damian finally had enough, he couldn't bear the missing presence of her. He was about to catch up to her. He was at Wayne Manor entrance when there was someone who he collided with.
His eyes instantly widened.
He didn't expect the sight at all, it was truly a happy sight for him.
He couldn't be happier than he is.
Seeing the beautiful ruffled white feathers.
It was his beloved, Marinette. In the flesh and in his arms.
Damian gives Marinette a twirl of happiness as Marinette laughed while Damian smiled in happiness.
As they embraced for a long time, just basking in each other's warmth.
It was only a few hours yet it felt like eternity to them...
Time seems to pass by slowly for them when they are apart from each other.
Marinette was in her new apartment..She would admit, it was beautiful with the ancient architecture design style.
Yet it felt empty...Barren..
She didn't know what was missing from the spectacular apartment.
She turned to look at a portrait that hung on her wall. It was a painting of her...But it wasn't about the picture, it was the one behind it, she could see the tiny signature of his name etched as she instantly knew what it was.
She realized soon enough that lacked the presence of her partner, Damian, and his family.
She had unconsciously gotten used to the warm and rowdy atmosphere called Wayne Manor.
She couldn't handle the silent and cold place she now called her 'home'.
She felt hollow as she knew she was missing the person and his family.
She couldn't handle it.
She went out to her balcony with a nice view of the city..
It was beautiful scenery..yet..she knew what she had to do.
She spread her wings and soared into the sky as she flapped her wings.
She was heading to the place she cherished and loved the most in the world.
When she saw the sight of the entrance of the building, she dived down to stop a few steps before the door. She was excited and didn't pay too much attention to her way.
