Chapter 9

Marinette's POV

Its Sunday and the day I'll be having dinner with the Wayne's. I am supposedly nervous for the dinner. I don't know what to wear! Probably something fancy, seeing that the Waynes is a rich family. She finally decided on what to wear, a casual and prepare for the dinner.

 
Damian's POV

Apparently father just told us there would be guests visiting for dinner. I wasn't that surprised, he invited Jagged Stone and Penny. What surprised me is that he also invited Marinette. I should've seen this coming, I suppose father is intrigued by her. He wanted more information about her. I knew fairly about her.

After we got back yesterday from the Gala, he interrogated me on everything I know about Marinette. I told him mostly what I know about her but I did keep some a secret.  He doesn't need to know everything about her. Anyways, here we are waiting for them to arrive, we had to greet them. So, Father, me, Grayson, Drake and Todd are standing on the door waiting for them to arrive.
 

 
3rd Person POV

Marinette, Jagged and Penny have just arrived at Wayne Manor. They stepped out of the limo. Jagged first, followed by Penny and lastly Marinette. The three was well dressed, Jagged in some casual suit, Penny wearing a short purple dress and Marinette wearing a light pink flower dress that ended on her knees.

"Welcome to Wayne Manor" Alfred said. Then the batfamily, Jagged, Penny and Marinette greeted each other. They were then lead to the dinning room. The room was huge, with a long table with lots of chairs. They all sit on their respective seats.

Bruce the head, Jagged sat on the right side of him and Penny beside Jagged while Marinette is seated beside Penny. Seating on the left side of Bruce is Dick, beside him, Jason then Tim and last is Damian.

There were lots of dishes, Marinette was impressed. The dinner started and people ate while conversing.

She took some and ate while listening to the conversation amongst people. Bruce was talking to Jagged and Penny, he realized that she wasn't talking so, he was going to ask a question when Dick intercepted him. Bruce decided on listening to their conversation while talking with Jagged.

"Mari, how did you become Damian and Jon's friend?" Dick questioned and the brothers were interested in their conversation. "Well, I'm not so sure. It's probably because me and Damian have met and talked a couple of times before and Jon being friendly and invited me to eat at their table" Marinette replied and Dick looked at Damian surprised while he shrugged.

"Wait, did you say that you've met Damian a couple of times?" Dick asked and she nodded. "Yes, I bumped with him on my first day here and then at the school building and at the Principal's office and then he was the tour guide for me and Jon" Dick nodded and Jason snickered.

"You said on your first day here, so I am assuming you aren't from Gotham" Tim pointed out and she nodded. "Yes, I'm from Paris, France" She replied and Dick nodded. The brothers were thinking about things they had heard in Paris that they wanted to ask her.

Tim spoke, after remembering about a rumor he heard, "I heard rumors that there were superheroes in Paris. I'm not sure whether its a rumor or it's true" She looked at him and nodded. "It's true, there were superheroes and supervillains in Paris" She replied.

Bruce and the boys looked at her like she grew another head and were bewildered. "It's true!?" Jason exclaimed, surprised and she shrugged.

"Yes, what's that surprising? I mean there are superheroes here, the Justice League, a team of superheroes, that's lots of superheroes" She stated.
