Chapter 24

"Ladybug?!"

The day was a cloudy day compared to the usual clouds in Gotham.

And apparently the Waynes (Or Damian specifically, had the job of delivering) had invited Marinette over to Wayne Manor, again.

She thought that it would be fun as usual. What she didn't anticipate was that her visit was going to give her more complications than before...

Marinette and the Wayne brothers were walking through the hallway of Wayne mansion and chatting, when the windows broke and the glass shattered everywhere. They all covered themselves, while Damian and Dick covered Marinette from the shattered glass.

"Well, hello Damian" A feminine voice spoke up. The brothers recognized the voice and their face hardened. They all look up to be met with quite a lot of assassins, surrounding them with a Lady standing in front of them.

"What? Aren't you going to greet me?" She questioned, looking hurt while the brothers rolled their eyes, unamused by her antics.

"Mother" Damian spat out while Marinette turned to look at Damian in bewilderment.

"Talia" The brothers said.

"Finally!" She then turned to look at the bluenette who was standing behind Damian and Dick. "Oh, you have a guest right now, who do you have there?" She approached slowly, wanting to see the guest clearly.

Damian covered Marinette from Talia's eyesight while Talia stopped at a distance and raised an amused eyebrows at his son's actions.

"Do tell your mother, Damian" She continued and crossed her arms while Damian didn't seem that he was going to speak.

"Huh, seems you're not going to, so, let me introduce myself first. I'm Talia al Ghul, daughter of Ra's al Ghul, leader of League of Assassins, and Damian's mother"

Marinette's eyes were widened at the sudden information. She is Damian's mother!? That is certainly something she hadn't foreseen before. He never mentioned it before, but now she knew why.

So, Damian's mother is Talia al Ghul, the leader of the infamous League of Assassins. She has previously heard a few information regarding the organization before, from a few people in Gotham and also some of the angels. The organizations are well known for their crimes and are secretive organization though, so not anyone would know about the organization.

And especially, the infamous Ra's al Ghul, the demon's head, the founder of the Assassins guild and the previous leader of League of Assassins. He was a nightmare for everyone, both humans and angels. He caused lots of problems for the angels, they had to put lots of efforts on failing the plans of him, even then it was still pretty horrible. Since angels aren't exactly allowed to interfere with humans, except when its absolutely needed or for special cases, one of which is her.

And he's the grandson of Ra's al Ghul.

"Mother. Don't bring her in" Damian spat while Talia is amused by his son's actions.

"Oh, so it is a her! But why? I wanted to know your guest, don't disobey your mother, Damian" 

"Well, if you aren't going to. Then I'll do it myself, as usual" She stood her stance and as she was about to move when someone spoke up, "Talia"

"Stop all this nonsense"

"Ah, Bruce, you finally joined in" She turned towards him and smiled, while his face hardened.

"As you know, we have a guest here, we shouldn't do that right now" Bruce continued and gesturing towards Marinette.

"Why not? I'm curious of your guest here, does she know or not about your secret"
