Chapter 26

Sarah's POV)

I stood there frozen, watching them play Naturally on the big screen. Suddenly, with the music still playing, the speaker said my name. I slowly got up, feeling like everything was in slow motion. As I walked up there, I could feel the boys stares burning holes in my back.

" Here's your award my dear. Would you like to say a few words?" The man said, handing me my award.

I stood there for a minute, staring at my award before realizing hundreds of people were watching me, and thousands more on their tally's. I turned to the audience, plastering a fake smile on my face.

" I'm honestly in shock, I-I don't know what to say. But I do think I should start off by thanking my producer, Jim Callows." I watched as Jim stood up and blew me a kiss while everyone clapped," And I would also like to give thanks to two of my best friends who helped make this possible. Jane Swift and Miley Lovato. Without your two help I wouldn't be standing here today with this award in my hand. And I would also love to thank my brother, who I believe is as in much shock as I am, Liam Payne. He was the one to inspire me to start singing, so really without him, I wouldn't be here today. Thank you so much to the people who voted for me." I said, then slowly walked off the stage.

I walked back to my seat, the boys still in shock, and went through the entire show without another word.

Once the show was over, we did last pictures on the carpet, then got into the car where Paul began driving us home. The entire ride was silent when Paul turned on the radio. Suddenly 'Who Says' came on causing me, Jane, and Miley to shriek.

" Paul, turn it off!" We yelled.

He quickly turned it off and I set my head in my hands.

I was furious with my producer, who sent out my music without telling me, extremely happy that I won an award because I was not expecting it to be that big, and extremely nervous because no one had said a word to me.

Paul safely dropped us off, and congratulated me once again before driving off as we walked in. Zayn shut the door behind us, and all the boys and girls turned to me.

" Sarah...I-I don't have words-" Liam stuttered.

" Well I do! Sarah! Oh my freaking god! One, congratulations on winning an award! Second, I didn't know you sang!" Perrie squealed, giving me a tight hug.

" Uh... Yeah, and thank you." I mumbled.

" Did you two know about this?" Liam asked, looking over to Miley and Jane.

Both girls nodded and pretended to be interested in their shoes.

" Sarah, why did you hide from us that you were singing." Niall said sadly.

I looked up at Niall and felt tears start to come down.

" Because I wanted to do something on my own for a while. I was planning on telling you soon but I was afraid how long I kept it a secret, that it would make you guys mad. And I'm sorry I didn't tell you, it's just that singing meant a lot to me and I just wanted it be my secret for a while." I said, knowing that my make up would ruin.

" Oh so you thought since you were racing, you could also hide the fact that you were singing." Liam snapped, causing me to look at him confused and hurt.

" Who told you about th-"

" We figured it out, Sarah. We're not dumb." Harry said, cutting me off.

I glanced over to Zayn, feeling betrayed.

" You told them?" I cried.

Zayn shook his head and took a step forward, only making me step back.

" No, I don't want to hear it. You betrayed me, you told them something I trusted you with." I snapped.

Zayn looked at me, tears filling up his eyes.

" Why does it matter now? I trusted you, Sarah! First you hide that you're racing, which is extremely dangerous-"

" I don't race! Yeah, okay I did it once. But then I called Will and told him I quit. I haven't gone racing in a month. The only thing I was hiding was me singing." I yelled, causing them all to flinch.

None of them said anything as I began walking upstairs.

" Oh and one more thing," I said, turning around to the boys," Thanks for congratulating me on my award like I did for you. Thanks for being so supportive like the boys I thought you were.".

I turned back around and walked to my room, slamming the door in the process.

It's funny thinking I was in this position a month ago because of my brother, and now it's because of all five of them.
