all that glitters

The first stab of love is like the color of a sunset.
Ablaze like a devil's breath.
Sparks flew all around
every time your feet touches the ground.
The clouds were at your mercy,
giving into melancholy.

There you are shining at the afterglow.
Every time I hit an all-time low,
You're always there wearing the smile that could inspire a thousand sonnets.
They say time is slow for those who wait,
But I've never met a sunset I didn't like
And even when the night creeps in
with the moonrise,
You are all that glitters.
