Periwinkle

The clouds broke down with me
showed no mercy nor sympathy
While you stood there
thousands of miles away
night and day
inhaled different air
after our small little seclusion
eventually reached its conclusion.

The brightest eyes that blooms only on summer
looked at me as it began to wilt.
All dressed in black to boot
Men dig root to root.
The deeper the better
One last time, together.
Many brought white roses
Few brought different kinds of flower
nobody cares about them
for the periwinkle in your hand suits my grave best.
