The library was quiet, the steady ticking of the clock on the wall serving as the only reliable reminder that time was still moving. Hyunjin sat at one of the large wooden tables, surrounded by tall bookshelves that stretched up toward the ceiling, their shelves crammed full of worn, dog-eared volumes. The afternoon sunlight streamed in through the tall windows, casting long, dappled shadows across the rows of desks. Dust motes floated lazily in the shafts of light, almost hypnotic if Hyunjin let his eyes linger too long on them.

But he couldn't. He had to focus.

Finals week was coming up. Which meant studying. Endless, grueling studying. His textbook lay open in front of him, notes scattered across the table, his hand tightly gripping his pen as he tried to absorb the information before him. Pages filled with complex formulas and tiny handwritten annotations that he had tried to commit to memory. His head throbbed faintly from the hours he'd spent bent over his books, but he couldn't stop now. He was still catching up from the time he had missed due to being sick, and skipping more school wasn't exactly an option anymore.

Unfortunately, he wasn't the only one at the table.

Felix and Jisung sat across from him, though calling what they were doing "studying" would have been a generous description. Both of them had their books open, but neither was paying any attention to them. Instead, they were huddled over Jisung's phone, muffled giggles escaping every now and then as they scrolled through memes and videos, whispering in a way that was definitely not as quiet as they thought it was.

The librarian shot them an irritated glare from behind her desk. Hyunjin tried to ignore it, though he could feel her sharp gaze cutting through the air, intensifying the weight of his already heavy focus. He sighed, setting his pen down and rubbing the bridge of his nose in frustration. The quiet library was meant to be a sanctuary for his exhausted mind, but with his two friends snickering like children, it was becoming impossible to concentrate.

He glanced at them, irritation flashing in his eyes as Jisung shoved Felix, causing the phone to nearly slip out of Felix's hands.

"Hyunjin!" Felix whisper-shouted, grinning mischievously as he waved a hand in front of Hyunjin's face to grab his attention. Hyunjin hummed, acknowledging him, though his tone carried the frustration of being interrupted. His textbook was promptly shut with a thud as he gave up on studying for now.

"What is it?" Hyunjin asked, his voice just low enough to avoid another sharp glance from the librarian. He leaned back in his chair, resigned to the fact that studying in peace was a lost cause.

Felix leaned in closer, his eyes gleaming with something that made Hyunjin instantly suspicious.
"I have a question," he said, wagging his eyebrows with an exaggerated playfulness.

Hyunjin sighed, already packing his things away in his bag, sensing that this wasn't going to be a question he wanted to entertain. "Yeah, what?"

Felix's grin widened as he waggled his eyebrows even more dramatically. "Do you like Seungmin?"
