Pete sat on the edge of the couch while I read my book. I glanced up at him. He just smiled and turned the music down.
"Sirius is upset." He told me, I nodded.
"I know that."
"Can you fix him?" He asked. I smiled and set my book on my chest.
"Not this time."
"Is he upset with you?"
"Adjacently."
"Is it about you skating with his brother?"
"Yeah." He sighed and slumped down onto the couch. His legs hung over the arm.
"So don't skate with him."
"That's not my choice, Petey." He groaned.
"I don't like when you two fight."
"We're not fighting. Sirius just has big feelings he needs to process and I don't think me trying to help him process them is a good idea." He looked up at me.
"I always forget you work with kids until you say shit like 'big feelings'" I let out an abrupt laugh.
"Oh fuck off." I laughed. A knock on the door pulled us out of our fit. I popped up and opened it. The boy looked me up and down, I crossed my arms over my chest. He was tall, tanned skin, blonde tips to his curly hair. He smiled at me.
"I'm looking for James." He told me. I cocked my head to the side.
"And who the fuck are you?"
"Down Ara!" Pete ordered as he came to my side. I gave him a look before raising my hands in defeat.
"Fine, if you want James to get serial killed that's on you." I told Pete. The boy at our door laughed.
"You accused my roommate of being a stalker just the other night." I looked back at him.
"Regulus is your roommate?" He nodded slowly. I stared at him for a second. e.rosier or bcj24? I nodded.
"Well, don't kill James. I'm not as sunshiney as Regulus thinks." He laughed lightly.
"Wouldn't expect you to be." I walked back towards my room, knocking on James' door on the way.
"There's a man at the door for you."
"Who is it?" He yelled back.
"I dunno, Pete wouldn't let me interrogate." He peaked his head out as I opened my own door next door.
"What if they want to kill me!" He exclaimed. I shrugged.
"Haunt Pete, not me."
...
The ding of my phone was doing a little too well of pulling me from trances today. Three in a row, raised more suspicion than the book I was reading could ever.
3 new followers.
I unlocked my phone and went to Instagram. New followers after a party wasn't a new thing for me, but I'd spent most of the party sat on a cooler between a boy I didn't know's legs and the rest with Sirius. No new people were met.
e.rosier has followed you!
bcj24 has followed you!
rablack has followed you! They couldn't have spaced it out? Way to let a girl know you're thinking about her, I guess. I clicked on "e.rosier" first and was met with pictures of the boy who'd shown up at my door today. Evan Rosier. He didn't post much, but when he did one bcj24 was always tagged. I stopped on an older picture of the three boys.
