TIME SKIPThe atmosphere on set had grown tense. Ever since that night at your apartment, you had hoped things would improve, but everything had taken a nosedive.
Chaeyoung had become increasingly erratic, disappearing without a word and forcing you to reschedule filming more times than you could count.
The tension between you two had reached a boiling point.
It was during the final stretch of filming that it all came to a head. The scene was nearly complete, the cameras were rolling, and you could almost see the finish line.
But suddenly, in the middle of it all, Chaeyoung stopped. She didn't freeze from nerves, she just stopped.
You yelled at her, your frustration bubbling over as you stormed after her while the crew stood in shocked silence.
Dahyun was quick to follow, calling your name, trying to pull you back and calm you down, but the anger in your chest had already taken over.
"Chaeyoung!" you shouted as you barged into her dressing room.
She stood in front of the mirror, her back to you, as if trying to avoid the confrontation entirely.
"What the hell is your problem?" Your voice was sharp, echoing in the small room.
"If you're not ready to be an actor, then don't do it. Go back to rapping if that's all you're good at!"
Chaeyoung whirled around, her eyes blazing. "You think I'm the problem?" she yelled back, her voice trembling with anger.
"You're an awful director! You've been on my case since day one, always finding reasons to yell at me! You're so busy blaming me for everything that you don't even realize you're the reason this whole production is falling apart!"
Your heart pounded in your chest, her words hitting harder than you expected. You could feel your pulse throbbing in your temples as you struggled to keep your composure.
"Maybe I wouldn't be on your case all the time if you actually showed up and did your job instead of disappearing for days!" you snapped.
"I've tried everything to make this work with you, but you just keep proving that this isn't for you."
Chaeyoung stepped closer, her fists clenched at her sides. "Don't you dare put this all on me. You're so focused on controlling everything that you've forgotten how to work with people. Maybe I'm not perfect, but you sure as hell aren't either."
You let out a bitter laugh. "You're a nightmare to work with. Do you even care about this movie? Or are you just playing at being an actress because you're bored with music?"
Her eyes flashed with hurt, but she didn't back down. "Don't pretend like you know anything about me! I've been trying! You think this is easy for me? You don't know what's going on in my life, and honestly, I don't owe you an explanation!"
"Then why are you here, Chaeyoung? If this isn't what you want, why waste everyone's time?"
"I want to be here!" she screamed. "But you make it impossible! You think you can just yell at people and force them to do things your way. You're not a director.. you're a dictator!"
The room fell into silence, the weight of her words hanging in the air.
You stood there, your chest rising and falling with rapid breaths, the adrenaline still pumping through you.
You didn't know what to say anymore. The anger that had driven you into that room now felt hollow.
Chaeyoung's voice softened, though her tone was still laced with bitterness. "You're so focused on making everything perfect that you don't see what's right in front of you. This film... this whole thing... it's tearing us apart."
