Somehow, Lorna knew this was fate.
The outfit that had appeared in her closet on the last day of the sitcom was the same outfit she'd arrived to Westview in.
Lorna pulled the green leather jacket closer to her body as she threw on her black hood underneath. People were looking at her as if she was the one at fault even though she was a victim just like them.
Any sensible person would've just left, but she knew she had to see her.
Hearing quiet gasps and hushed tones erupt, Lorna looked up seeing Wanda walking into the town square.
The woman who had saved them from bullets earlier in the day walked up to her.
"They'll never know what you sacrificed for them."
"It wouldn't change how they see me. And you, you don't...you don't hate me?" Wanda asked.
"Given the chance and given your power, I'd bring my mom back. I know I would," the woman answered truthfully."
Wanda looked on the verges of tears as she glanced around. "I'm sorry for all the pain I caused."
"I know."
"I don't understand this power, but I will," she promised as she walked away. Lorna stood up from her bench as she walked towards the woman she once called mom.
"While I hate the fact that another witch was able to trap me so easily, it would be a lie if I said that I hated the experience."
Wanda turned to the girl in front of her. While she had slowly been breaking free from her cursed appearance during the decades, it was weird to see her so grungy now.
She was in all black with chains and combat shoes accompanied by a green leather jacket. Her now fully green hair was roughly cut with uneven bangs and her eyeliner was smudged as if she'd had a wild night out.
"Who are you," Wanda asked, walking closer. The girl was an enigma to her. Wanda knew she'd always wanted a daughter, but how did this random girl get pulled into the equation.
"I'm Lorna," she replied, meeting the other woman halfway.
"Do you live here?"
"Nah," Lorna responded, putting her hands in her pockets. "Just happened to be passing through when all of a sudden, it was the 80s."
"Huh," Wanda replied, feeling awkward as Lorna muttered a small yeah. "So, where to next?"
"Well, I was on my way to New York when all this happened, so I'll probably pick up there."
Wanda studied the girl for a second, noticing the hesitation in her voice. "Where are your parents?"
"Ha, long gone," Lorna laughed. "Guess I'm back to being Lonely Lorna now."
"Well, if you ever get a little too lonely, let me know," Wanda said, putting her hood up. "It's the least I could do after everything."
Lorna, truly unsure how to respond, just smiled lightly. "Goodbye, Wanda."
"Goodbye, Lorna."
As Wanda flew away, Lorna began her trek to the nearest train station. Her life had always been dysfunctional, this experience was just another thing to add to the list.
Right?
Hiding her face from security cameras, Lorna broke into the first motel she found, using her powers to open the door.
As she fell asleep, she dreamt of a life she never really had. A life with Wanda, and Vision, and the boys she had grown the care so much about. But it wasn't real. In no lifetime would she ever have that family back.
