"You may leave the school's premises, however be back before curfew. 6pm sharp." All Might barely looks up from his desk as he issues his orders, sparing me little but a glance as I give him a shrill nod of thanks.

I had requested to go to the local market place, not expecting him to give me approval to go to a mall or anything out of school borders, especially by myself. But I didn't want anything grand, just a few bits and pieces for my room, as I had planned to purchase when I initially came here. However that was a time of uncertainty, I wasn't sure if I would last a week or even a day before they kicked me out; and true, I came very close a couple of times, but alas here I stood, whole and unbroken. Well, the few parts that were still left whole anyways. In fact, perhaps parts of me were even healed by my time here. The people who become my friends, the teachers who looked past my history, and the boy who had wedged his way into my soul and took a piece for himself.

"Before you leave, there is something I must say."

My hand grazes the door handle as All Might interrupts the silence prowling the room. I stiffen, rubbing my fingers against my palm as if testing for animosity in the air.

"I'm not going to yell at you, relax."

I breathe a sigh of relief, drooping my unknowingly tensed shoulders.

"I'm...pleased at the improvement you've shown in your behavior these past few weeks. I understand I've been hard on you for the duration of your stay, but I believe it's proven to be effective. Call it tough love if you will."

I refrain the urge to roll my eyes, willing a smile to frame my face, despite the coldness to his words.

"Thank you." He opens his mouth as if to say something else, but shakes his head, resuming his work on his computer. I take that as my sign to leave, and I quietly exit his office, locking the door behind me.

I pay my room a visit for some money I had saved up over the last couple months, stuffing the bills in my bra before dishing through my drawers for some plastic bags. I fetch my things, giving myself one last glance in the mirror to touch up some loose strands of hair before leaving my dorm. I counted my change, summing up how much spare I'd need for a haircut, it was getting to be longer then hip length, even braided that would be a nuisance in training. To cross school grounds and get to the market, I'd have to walk past the atrium, where Wash was hosting her hero course class. Much to my dismay, the whole building was made of clear glass, from my distance I could make out distorted figures which I could only assume where my classmates. They were clad in their hero costumes. I remember an earlier conversation I had with Aizawa not even a day ago.

"My costume?" I had said, startled at the instigation.

"Yes, I've discussed the matter with the other teachers, and all - well, most of them agree it's time for you to have your own costume to accompany your peers in future training courses."

I could've hugged him at that very moment, but my excitement was saved for Bakugou later that night, when I had shown up at his door with an array of sketches in hand.

"What do you think of this? It has knee and shoulder pants to protect me from harsh impact when I'm using my earth quirk. I made the material breathable so I'd avoid friction against my thighs whenever I fly or use my air quirk. And look! This mask is detachable and -"

I don't know how long I had gone on for over explaining the intricate elements of my suit, but he stayed there and listened the whole time. Only interrupting to offer some advice, or tweak certain design aspects.

I smile at the memory, and almost run straight into the large glass dome. Thankfully, everyone had their back turned to me, so I quickly made for the first line of trees, but I could've swore I saw Izuku turn and make eye contact with me just as I zoomed out of sight. I had grown to like him, and no longer felt the need to use him for malicious purposes.
