Sunoo~Today I was off work, so I was of course given the job to babysit, not that I cared, I loved Nari. At the moment, I was cooking breakfast, so the smell of bacon, sausage and other breakfast items were going through the house.
"Sunoo oppa! Look what I made you!" I heard Nari's sweet voice yell loudly as her little stumps are heard on the floor as I look over behind me to see her sprinting from the living room and to the kitchen to me.
"Be careful, I don't want you getting popped by the grease girl," I told her as she steps back. "What is it you made angel?" I asked turning down the kitchen burners and turning to her before squatting down towards her height a little.
"Look! I made us bracelets, yours is pink and mines is purple," she said handing it to me. She's actually very good at arts and crafts, very talented girl she was.
"Awe, that's so sweet of you, it's so pretty," I said as there were pink and clear balls, and then a few charms, hello kitty, half of a heart and a star.
"And look, if we get close, the hearts go together," she said as she puts her half of the heart towards mind and they gravitate towards each other, it's magnetic.
"That's so cute, I love that. You're so smart, can I wear it now?" I asked her and she nods happily as she puts hers on quickly and I go to put mine on. "Read the words," she tells me with a smile but kind of shyly too.
I twist the bracelet around a bit before reading out the italic writing spelling out the word papi, and immediately I couldn't help but smile. "Oh, I get a dad title now?" I asked her as she was blushing and looking everywhere else but at me, oh she's so adorable.
"I want to be able to call you that if you let me, you are basically my other parent now right?" She asked me with her round eyes sparkling with hope. "If that's what you want me to be then of course! I'd be happy to get to call you my daughter," I tell her honestly and she smiled widely, her dimples showing as she does.
"You mean it?" She asked me as I picked her up, "Of course I do silly, now, what animal do you want as your pancake? Elephant, dog, or cat?" I asked her as she hums, looking at the pancake shapes, it's a metal shape where I would just place it on the skillet and pour the batter into it and it would come out at that shape.
"Uhmmm, cats," she said and I nod as I expected that, speaking of cats, Lulu decided to jump up on the counter and sit there as she watched us.
"Papi, when is daddy coming home?" She asked me after I sat her down in her chair at the table, grabbing her place of food and placing it beside her. "I'm not sure, but I know he'll be working late today, he's very busy," I told her and she nods as she starts to help herself to the syrup bottle.
Having her call me that just warmed my heart, it was so adorable, I felt like an actual parent, and although I never thought of having or wanting kids, she's making me think differently.
"I know, daddy is very a hard worker. You too. I'm going to be a hard worker too when I be a big girl and grown up!" She said excitedly as I just smile at that. "Good, just don't do too much like your dad does sometimes, too much work isn't good for you," I told her and she nods as she bites into her piece of sausage patty.
"I love you," she suddenly told me with the biggest smile and the softest most honest tone ever, ok, now I was about to get dramatic and start ugly crying, bur I don't, I froze a bit and just stared at her before I smiled.
