((ignore the unoriginal title. o_o uhm okay... carrying on...))

Which is stronger

The daily recital of empty prayers

With childlike innocence

Or the silent adoration

Of a mature teenager in

A state of grace?

Does the strength between the two practices really matter

When the attention they give shows you your true allegiance?

Let us focus on the reversal of the first

As the contrast is greater

When the adoration with childlike innocence

Becomes empty words in adolesence

Because of past tests not overcome.

Perhaps it was some form of silent betrayal

Or a lack of acknowledging the forces of the unseen

Or the inability to discern the physical from the metaphysical

Or maybe the reverse of all these.

But one thing is for sure

That the presence or absence of prayer

Was truly a vital part

Of whether the childlike innocence was soiled

And told that our creed was fiction

Or whether the initial abesnce

Opened the door to the Way,

The Truth,

And the Life.
