We Are The Generation
We are the generation,
That they knew was able to make the most difference,
So out of fear they blinded us.
They blinded us and showered us with petty vain insecurities
And first-world problems.
They confiscated the true things in life from us,
To prevent us from becoming aware
Of our inheritance in this world,
And to hold onto the old world that they loved so dear.
They wanted to keep their fortune and fame
While greed drives them forward.
The selfish bastards.
But they failed.
Because not all fell under
The curtain of illusion and
Blind innocence.
Some of us--
Our eyes were opened to the truth.
Some of us
Despised this insight.
Some of us
Grew bitter from knowing this hard truth.
But some of us
Used this knowledge of the truth to speak out
Only to be silenced by the cowl of ultimate censorship.
They fear us
Because they fear we will realize that
When they are gone
They will leave a stupidly synthesized
Vain and shallow generation
To rule a dying world.
A dying world that they themselves created.
And as they look on from their afterlife
Wherever they may be
They realized that in part and ultimately
It was their fault.
This dying world.
We are living in a dying world.
We must resuscitate this dying world
With a new revival
Or else
It will collapse
Into
Fire and fury.
