Walking to school was draining, to say the least. I started the morning going through what would become my new routine of getting up and dressed, dragging Kakashi out of bed, and eating breakfast with the third years before walking to class. However, what had been becoming my usual routine was disrupted as I encountered a band of reporters and cameras harassing my classmates for interviews. Before Kakashi and I even had time to react, we were swarmed by reporters asking questions about All Might.
"Is All Might your teacher!"
"What's it like working with All Might?"
"How is All Might doing at UA?"
"What are you all learning under All Might?"
We ignored them as best we could while shoving our way through the crowd until we made it into the school. As we walked through the halls, I could hear practically every student we passed talking about the media outside; some were excited, and others were annoyed. Eventually, we made it to class, and after getting seated, the last of our classmates filled in. Not two minutes later the bell rang, and Aizawa entered. I walked up with Kakashi and handed in our forms.
"Um Aizawa, I'm sorry, I was out of line yesterday. I'm just having a hard time adjusting to the way you do things here." I said, and I could sense the teacher in Kakashi was proud.
"It's fine. I should have considered your...situation... before being so harsh. Also, thank you both for filling these out. Your costumes should be ready soon. In the meantime, just wear your training clothes."
"Thank you," I responded. Glad he wasn't upset with me, I returned to my seat quietly.
"Decent work on yesterday's combat training, you guys. Now, let's get down to business. This first task will decide your future." He started, and the class perked up. I only hope it's not another stupid quirk assessment. "You all need to pick a Class representative." He finished, and the tension and the air dispersed.
We never did stuff like this in the academy, but I was still surprised to see almost everyone nominate themselves for the role. I looked over to see Kakashi's reaction, only to find him dead asleep. He's probably dreaming about his Icha Icha. If he knew I had it, he may just kill me for it.
Tenya inevitably took control of the minor chaos and started blabbing about order and democracy, whatever that meant. So, the class settled on an election to decide who would be the class rep. After voting, the results were added up. Yayourozu, with four votes, became Class rep, and Izuku, with three, was appointed deputy representative. No one except Bakugo seemed particularly upset with the elected reps, and so we moved on with the rest of our day.
After Hero Ethics (my least favorite class of the day) came lunch, and I woke Kakashi up to walk down to the cafeteria, my favorite place in the school. Back home, if you didn't bring your own lunch, you didn't eat lunch, so having so much food readily available and for free was something I could totally get behind, especially since my cooking skills were subpar. On the first few days, Kakashi and I had sat alone while the rest of my class paired off into twos and threes. After getting to know each other a little better, groups were starting to form. As we headed to our normally isolated table, I was surprised to see a few others sitting at the table, and I could hear Kakashi sigh next to me.
Sliding into the booth, I ended up next to Kirishima, with Kakashi sitting on my other side. Bakugo sat on the other side of Kirishima, and across from him was Sero, Ashido, Kaminari, and finally Jiro.
"Hey guys, I know you guys were sitting here alone, so I thought we'd join you. Is that ok?" Kirishima said, beaming.
"Yeah, no problem," I said before digging into my food.
