I looked at, Levi, his voice was gone. Did I trigger it, it seemed I was the only one he didn't speak to. And I heard the voice the first time when I was, fucking him. He had a nice voice.

He was crying. I went to hug him but he moved away, that hurt.

No, he signed.

I knew why he didn't want to hug me, I was an ass. But he looked like he was going to break down any minute now.
I pulled him to me and hugged him tightly, he tried fighting me to get out of my embrace.

Stop struggling I said in a controllive voice. He stopped and I ruffled his hair.

It's okay, you will be fine, your voice will come back I said, in a soft tone.

I'm fine, he said. His voice was back, I pulled away from him and looked at him.

What triggered this I asked. He bit his lower lip and looked down.

Levi, look at me and tell me what triggered this I said.

He did. I noticed he responded well to my controlling voice.

I hate arguing with you, eve since we knew each other, you keep on bullying me, you once put gum on my hair, I had to cut it all off, then you splashed cold water on me, then you kept verbally bullying me, I tended to keep quiet around you, because if I'm quiet you won't say any more, and I'll be free. But whenever you talked and I wanted to argue, I couldn't so I learnt to just keep quiet around you. But I forgot that now, I tried to talk back but something must have happened, so it must have made an involuntary mutism, Levi said. He was looking down.

It was the first time he had talked so much to me and it was all bad things. He was right I have never treated him well, I was always an asshole to him.

I'm sorry, I said looking at him. He looked at me shocked.

I knew I never apologized but did he have to act so shocked.

I'm sorry for everything, I said.

It's okay he said looking down. It wasn't okay.

Don't do that, don't act like everything is okay when it's not, I said.

It doesn't really, matter, he said.

I had really hurt him. I was such an asshole. I was going to start treating him right from now on.

It does matter, I'm your cousin, and I have treated you like shit from day one, it wasn't right, I said. He took my hands in his and removed them from his face. He let go and smiled sadly me.

It's okay, he said then sat back in his bed. 

Just then a knock sounded, I opened the door to find , Antonio, I blocked the doorway using my body and looked at Antonio. I didn't like him and I knew why.

What, I said annoyed.

I know you don't like me, but can I talk to your cousin he asked.

Like is an understatement, why do you want to talk to him I asked.

Why do you hate me, he asked, we just met but you keep looking at me as if, you will kill me, Antonio said.

I don't need a reason, to hate you, you are the president of another frat house, leave I said crossing my arms.

I'm best friends with the president of this frat, Can I talk to your cousin please, Antonio asked.

No, I said .

What are you, my keeper, move,  Levi said from behind me.

No, I said.

Dude, I.....he kept quiet.

I bought him food as a way of apologizing, Antonio said. I noticed the plastics in his hands.

Ohh, can I have them, I forgive you, dude move. What is your problem, this is why I don't want us to share a  room, Levi said.

He doesn't need food, I said.

Actually I do, my dad's freezed my accounts apparently I spend too much money on food, Ethan refused to give me money and Jay calls me his maid, he makes me work every time I ask for money, Levi said.

We are good I said, I closed the door on Antonio's face and locked it .

Dude, no one is giving me money, I need those food, Levi said.

You just transferred, money to grandpa, your account works well, I said.

That account was opened by grandpa in my name. We use it to scam grandfather or our uncles, my dad's don't know about it, there's only ten dollars in it. Can you move, Levi asked.

You are so annoying Levi signed and went to his bed. He took out his phone, no doubt, texting Antonio. I hated it, every second of it.

Why did the guy I was in love with have to be my cousin, I was a disgusting person.

I find it hard to believe, ask dad for money or papa, I said.

You don't think I tried, they all refused, uncle Kim, Kenny, Leon, Clay, Ilay, Liam, aunt May, hell I even asked uncle Chris, they refused. Dad must have told them not to give me money, Levi said looking at me.

Turns out favorite kid needs to learn how to use his money, Levi said.

I'll share my money with you, I said. His eyes widened. As he stared at me.

He nodded.

Well we are going to share my money, I'll send you my card pins. And Levi, I want you to start using your voice when talking to me, I said and sat on my bed. I knew he was staring.

Make you dependent on me to the point where you can't function without me, I'm joking I just want to help my cousin, no one thinks I'll help you so, you are good I said. He snorted.

If that was your sense of humor no wonder it's been hiding I heard him mutter.

Good boy, I said smiling. I put my noise cancellation air pods on and closed my eyes. We had a party at seven. But I was too tired to attend it.
