When Samayra fainted, the driver saw her through the mirror. He quickly stopped the car and rushed to the back seat. “ma’am are you okay? Hello” when he didn’t get a reply from Samayra, he understood that she needs to see a doctor. Without further ado, he rushed to the nearest city hospital and told the nurse everything.

The nurse immediately called the doctor. “Doctor Nandani, we have an emergency” she said. Dr. Nandani and the nurse rushed to see the patient. As soon as Nandani saw Samayra, she felt her heart skipping a beat.
She immediately checked Samayra and gasped “nurse, her pulse is weak. Take her to the ICU immediately, attach glucose bottles and all the other procedures.”

The nurse took Samayra to the ICU
‘What happened to you Sammy? How did you get in this condition. I have already told you not to starve yourself, it’s too dangerous. Your family knows this too. How can they be so irresponsible’ thought Nandani.

She was Samayra’s childhood friend. They were inseparable. She was her best friend but since they wanted to practice different professions they had to go to different colleges, they still kept in touch and Nandani was Samayra’s usual doctor. She was the one who diagnosed Samayra and told her and her family not to let her starve as it was too dangerous.

Nandani went to the cab driver, asked for some details. The driver told her that he was Samayra’s cab driver, while he was driving, Samayra suddenly fainted and he rushed her to the hospital as it was the closest.
“Was any family member with her? Where did you pick her?” she asked the cab driver.

“No ma’am there was no one with her and I was quite shocked as I picked her up from somewhat an abandoned area and it was dark too” replied the cab driver.

“okay thanks, could you maybe wait until her family gets here. They might want to talk to you” asked Nandani.
“alright I can stay” the driver replied.

“You can wait in the waiting room” Nandani said and guided him towards it. After that she went to check on Samayra. She was now out of danger but still hadn’t gained consciousness. After checking up on Samayra and making sure she is fine, she called Aakash.

“Aakash, it’s me Nandani. Samayra is at the hospital here with me.” “Yes. Come as soon as possible. We need to talk” she said and then Aakash disconnected the call.

Nandani sat beside Samayra; her shift was over an hour ago but she wanted to stay with her Sammy. “What happened Sammy. Open your eyes. Talk to me. We meet after so many days and you don’t even want to talk. The last time we met was at Aakash’s wedding. You were so happy that day and now..” her voice trailed off.
