The pain from the stab wound was excruciating, each step sending sharp waves through your body, but you couldn't stay there. You had to move. You had to survive. With a trembling hand pressed against your stomach, trying to stop the blood flow, you stumbled forward. Your vision swam in and out of focus as you spotted a bench nearby.
You made your way toward it, dragging your feet, and when you reached it, you placed your hand on the back of the bench for support, trying to gather enough strength to keep moving.
In a haze of pain and fear, you turned around again, your eyes scanning the empty streets for any sign of help. And that's when you saw him, Stu, walking casually in the distance, completely unaware of what had just happened. A surge of relief washed over you, mixed with desperation. You had no choice but to get to him.
Using every last bit of strength you had left, you ran, or at least, something close to a run. Your body felt heavy, weighed down by the blood loss, but somehow, you made it.
You reached Stu, your legs giving out just as you got close enough to him. He looked up, his carefree smile fading instantly when he saw you, his eyes widening in shock.
"Whoa, what the hell?!" Stu exclaimed, his voice frantic as you crumpled against his body, smearing blood across his shirt in the process. he quickly steadied you, wrapping his arms around you protectively.
Your hands instinctively reached for him, You clung to him, your arms wrapping weakly around his torso as if it were a lifeline. Your head rested against his shoulder, and you could feel the warmth of his body against yours, but all you could do was cry. The tears fell freely, soaking into the fabric of his shirt as your breath came out in uneven gasps.
"Help me" you mumbled out as you raise your head to meet his gaze with your teary eyes, your voice weak, barely audible.
You rested your head back against his shoulder. Stu's grip tightened around you as he took a step back "Holy shit, man, you're bleeding... Jesus, what happened?!"
You couldn't answer, not fully. The pain was too overwhelming, and your vision was starting to blur again. You felt his grip tighten again as he held you up, his voice filled with panic now. "Stay with me, okay? Just stay with me! I'm getting you help—don't you fucking pass out on me!"
You nodded weakly, though you weren't sure how much longer you could stay conscious. The world around you was fading fast, your body growing heavier with each passing second.
In the distance, you heard Stu's voice shout for someone, anyone, but it was drowned out by the steady pulse of blood rushing in your ears. You felt your knees buckle again, but Stu kept you upright, his body practically holding you together.
The last thing you saw before everything went dark was Stu's wide, frantic eyes, filled with a mix of fear and confusion as he called your name over and over again, trying to keep you awake.
