After finishing your meals and a few more rounds of playful insults, everyone slowly started getting ready to leave. Stu dramatically stretched his arms above his head, letting out an exaggerated yawn. "Alright, dudes, it's been real. But I've got a very important nap scheduled for, uh...now."

Randy shook his head. "A nap? You sure that's not code for stalking the video store again?"

Stu threw him a playful glare. "Don't be jealous cause I got good taste in movies, man."

Billy stood up, looking at you and Randy. "You two good? Need a ride?"

"Nah," you said, waving him off. "I'm good to walk. Besides, I need to give Fluffy here a tour of the neighborhood."

Billy smirked. "Priorities."

You hugged Fluffy a little closer as everyone started parting ways. The banter lingered in your mind as you watched them head off—Billy walking off with his usual coolness, Randy with his hands in his pockets, and Stu bouncing along like a hyper puppy.

You started your walk home, letting the peaceful evening air clear your head. It was nice to spend time with them and just be *normal* for a few hours, forgetting about everything going on. But as you walked, you couldn't help but feel that familiar nagging sense of unease.

The quiet streets didn't seem quite as welcoming as they did before.

Still, you pushed it out of your mind for now. After all, you had Fluffy to keep you company.

NIGHT TIME 6:43

As night fell and you lay on your bed, staring at the ceiling, your thoughts were interrupted by the sharp ring of your phone.

The ringing phone echoed in your quiet room, cutting through the stillness of the night. You stared at it for a moment, heart racing a bit, half-expecting the usual taunting voice to greet you.

With a deep breath, you reached for the phone, hesitating as your fingers hovered over the receiver before finally picking it up.

"Hey loser" Tatum's voice chirped on the other end, instantly melting away the tension. "What's up?"

You let out a sigh of relief. "Thank God, it's just you."

"Uh, yeah?" she replied, chuckling. "Who else were you expecting? Anyway, I wanted to see if you were up for a sleepover at my place tonight. Just us and Sid."

You considered it for a moment, glancing at the clock. A sleepover would be nice, and plus you wouldn't be alone for the night

"Yeah, I'm down," you said.

"Awesome! Be here in like an hour, and don't forget your pajamas!"

You chuckled. "Of course i will who do you think I am?"

Tatum snorted. "Whatever, just get your ass over here. See you soon!"

You sat there for a moment, considering whether or not to bring Fluffy the shark plushie with you. After everything, you figured the little guy might come in handy for comfort later. Plus, you couldn't resist the idea of teasing Tatum with your new 'friend.'

With that, you grabbed a backpack, stuffed Fluffy inside, and headed out the door to Tatum's house. You weren't sure what the night had in store, but maybe it'd be good to spend time with people who weren't... well, trying to kill you.
