As Elara entered the grand ballroom, she was struck by the sheer magnificence of the space. The room was vast, its high ceilings supported by intricately carved columns that rose like sentinels from the marble floor. Crystal chandeliers dangled from above, each one adorned with hundreds of sparkling jewels that reflected the flickering candlelight, creating a dazzling display of glimmering colors across the walls. The air was thick with the scents of rich perfumes and the tantalizing aroma of lavish dishes laid out on long banquet tables. Elaborate centerpieces of fresh flowers, their vibrant colors bursting against the muted gold and cream tones of the room, added a touch of life to the elegant setting. Laughter and music flowed through the space, creating a symphony of revelry that pulled Elara in, inviting her to be part of the spectacle. Nobles danced in elaborate gowns and tailored suits, their movements a blend of grace and formality. Elara observed the intricate patterns of social interactions—the way certain lords leaned in closer, their voices lowered, while ladies exchanged knowing glances that spoke of secrets. Here, in this arena of power, every gesture was a calculated move in the game of politics. She moved with purpose, her gown swirling around her as she navigated the crowd.                     Elara's keen eyes missed nothing; she noticed the way Korran's closest advisors hovered nearby, their expressions a mixture of feigned admiration and genuine apprehension. It was clear that beneath the veneer of celebration, there were undercurrents of tension and ambition swirling like shadows.

"Where do you want to start?" Vesper asked quietly, her eyes scanning the room as well. Elara paused, a thoughtful expression crossing her face. "Let's gather information first. The whispers here are as potent as any weapon." She made her way toward a group of young noblewomen, their laughter ringing like silver bells. They were discussing the latest rumors about Korran's potential brides, and Elara could feel the weight of their words. As she approached, she caught snippets of conversation, phrases that piqued her interest. "Did you hear about Lady Thalia? They say she's trying to win Korran's favor." Another girl replied, "I heard he's more interested in alliances than romance." Elara smiled to herself, noting how the alliances formed and broke within the walls of the castle. Each piece of information was a puzzle she could fit into her grand design. She made eye contact with Vesper, signaling her to keep watch while she slipped further into the crowd.
