The day of the council meeting dawned bright and clear, an ironic contrast to the tension brewing within the castle walls. Elara arrived early, her heart racing as she prepared for the confrontation ahead. The council chamber was buzzing with the chatter of commoners and nobles alike, all eager to participate in this unprecedented event. As the meeting commenced, Korran opened the floor for discussion. Elara sat beside him, her pulse quickening with each passing moment. She could see Evander and Celeste seated at the far end, their expressions inscrutable. "Today marks the beginning of a new era," Korran declared, his voice ringing through the chamber. "We are here to listen, to learn from the voices of our kingdom." Elara took a deep breath, her mind racing with the implications of their plan. She stood, addressing the crowd. "We've heard your stories, your struggles. It's time we work together to create solutions."                                           The atmosphere was charged, and she felt the eyes of the crowd upon her. As the discussion began, she carefully guided the conversation, encouraging the commoners to voice their concerns. The words flowed freely, filled with passion and urgency. Elara felt a sense of unity beginning to form. But as the meeting progressed, it became clear that Evander and Celeste were growing restless. When they finally stood to speak, the atmosphere shifted dramatically. "This council is nothing but a farce!" Evander declared, his voice booming. "You claim to represent the people, yet you're merely puppets dancing to the strings of your so-called leader!" Gasps filled the chamber, and Elara felt a surge of anger. Korran's face tightened as he prepared to respond, but she knew this was her moment. "If anyone is a puppet, it is you, Lord Evander. You seek to manipulate the council for your own gain, disregarding the very voices you claim to protect." Celeste stepped forward, a sly smile on her face. "You speak of unity, yet you conspire behind closed doors. Who truly trusts you, Elara? A mere servant?" The tension in the room escalated, and Elara felt her heart pounding in her chest. "My position does not define my worth," she shot back, her voice unwavering. "I have fought for the common people because their struggles matter. What have you done, Evander? Hide behind your title?" The crowd erupted into murmurs, their interest piqued. Korran seized the moment, his voice cutting through the noise. "Enough! This council is meant for progress, not petty squabbles. Elara has spoken the truth, and I stand by her." The eyes of the nobles and commoners turned toward Korran, and Elara felt a flicker of hope ignite within her. The tide was turning, but she knew they had to strike harder to weaken Evander's grip.
