As the dance continued, Elara caught sight of Lady Vesper across the ballroom. Though they shared a tenuous relationship—Vesper a servant, and Elara a noble—there was a mutual respect that had developed over time. Vesper was a watchful presence, a reminder that Elara's plans needed to be grounded in reality. Vesper's gaze flickered between Elara and Korran, her expression a mixture of concern and encouragement. Elara felt a jolt of gratitude for her presence. "Did you hear that?" Elara whispered, excitement bubbling within her. "He's more vulnerable than I anticipated." Vesper nodded, her brow furrowed. "But be careful. His arrogance might blind him, but others are watching too. You have to tread lightly." Elara waved a dismissive hand, though Vesper's caution resonated with her. "I know what I'm doing. But if I can keep Korran off balance, I can gain the upper hand."
