Mikey Madison woke up early, the faint morning light filtering through the curtains of the cozy apartment she shared with Jenna. Today was special—Jenna's 22nd birthday. Mikey had spent the last few days planning every detail, wanting to make sure her girlfriend felt loved and cherished. She glanced over at the still-sleeping form beside her, Jenna's soft breaths the only sound in the quiet room. She smiled, her heart swelling with affection for the girl who had stolen her heart two years ago.

Careful not to disturb her, Mikey slipped out of bed, padding quietly into the kitchen. Today was all about making Jenna feel special, and what better way to start than with breakfast in bed? Mikey had practiced her cooking over the last week, even though she wasn't exactly a master in the kitchen. But for Jenna, she wanted everything to be perfect.

She set out the ingredients she'd bought the night before—eggs, fresh berries, croissants, and Jenna's favorite: French toast with cinnamon and vanilla. She turned on some soft music to keep her company as she worked, humming along as she cracked eggs and whisked the batter. Her movements were careful and deliberate, wanting everything to turn out just right.

The apartment smelled heavenly as the French toast sizzled in the pan, the sweet aroma of cinnamon filling the air. Mikey checked the clock—it was still early, but Jenna had always been a light sleeper. She hoped her girlfriend would stay asleep long enough for her to finish the surprise. After arranging the food on a tray—complete with a small vase of fresh flowers—Mikey made herself a cup of coffee, smiling at how domestic the morning felt.

She paused at the kitchen counter, glancing toward the bedroom. Over the past two years, they had built a life together. They shared late-night talks, lazy mornings, and endless laughter. There had been ups and downs, of course, but their love had only grown stronger with time. Mikey wanted this day to be a reflection of all the joy Jenna had brought into her life.

Balancing the tray in her hands, Mikey quietly made her way back to the bedroom. As she stepped through the doorway, she caught sight of Jenna stirring beneath the covers, her dark hair splayed across the pillow. A small, sleepy smile tugged at Jenna's lips when she noticed Mikey approaching.

"Happy birthday, baby," Mikey whispered, her voice soft as she set the tray down on the bedside table. Jenna blinked sleepily, her eyes lighting up as she took in the sight of the breakfast spread.

"Mikey...you didn't have to do all this," Jenna murmured, her voice thick with sleep but filled with appreciation.

Mikey leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to Jenna's forehead. "Of course, I did. It's your birthday. I wanted to spoil you."

Jenna sat up, pushing the covers aside as she glanced at the tray. The French toast looked perfect, dusted with powdered sugar and adorned with fresh berries. A small cup of whipped cream sat beside it, along with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. "This looks amazing," Jenna said, her eyes widening as she took in the effort Mikey had put into everything.

Mikey grinned, pleased with Jenna's reaction. "I hope it tastes as good as it looks. I've been practicing."

Jenna chuckled, reaching for a fork and taking a bite of the French toast. Her eyes closed as she savored the taste, a soft moan of approval escaping her lips. "Mmm, Mikey, this is perfect."

Mikey let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding, her shoulders relaxing in relief. "I'm so glad you like it."

Jenna glanced up at her, her brown eyes shining with warmth. "I love it. Thank you, babe."

They spent the next few minutes eating together, the quiet intimacy of the moment wrapping around them like a blanket. Mikey couldn't stop smiling as she watched Jenna enjoy the breakfast she'd made, feeling a deep sense of satisfaction that she'd been able to make Jenna happy. Jenna's laughter filled the room as Mikey told a silly story about her latest attempts at cooking, and for a moment, it felt like they were in their own little bubble, away from the rest of the world.

After breakfast, Mikey set the tray aside and climbed into bed beside Jenna, pulling her close. Jenna nestled against her, resting her head on Mikey's chest as they lay together in comfortable silence.

"Thank you for making today so special already," Jenna whispered, her fingers tracing small patterns on Mikey's arm. "You always know how to make me feel loved."

Mikey kissed the top of Jenna's head, her heart full. "You deserve it, Jenna. Every day with you feels special to me. I just wanted to give you a little of that back."

Jenna looked up at her, her expression soft and filled with affection. "I love you so much, Mikey. You have no idea how lucky I feel to have you in my life."

Mikey's breath hitched in her chest. Even after two years, hearing Jenna say those words still made her feel like the luckiest person in the world. "I love you too, Jenna. More than anything."

They spent the morning wrapped up in each other, talking about the memories they'd shared over the past two years. Mikey teased Jenna about her obsession with horror movies, while Jenna playfully reminded Mikey of her terrible taste in music. It was the kind of lighthearted banter that made their relationship so easy, so effortless. They fit together perfectly, in a way that made everything feel right.

As the morning sun filtered through the window, casting a golden glow over the room, Mikey felt a sense of contentment settle over her. There was nowhere else she'd rather be, no one else she'd rather be with. Jenna was everything to her.

"I have one more surprise for you," Mikey said suddenly, her eyes twinkling with excitement.

Jenna raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? What is it?"

Mikey reached over to the bedside table and pulled out a small, wrapped box. It wasn't anything extravagant, but it was something meaningful. Jenna took the box, her curiosity piqued as she carefully unwrapped it.

Inside was a delicate silver necklace with a tiny pendant in the shape of a crescent moon. Jenna's eyes widened as she lifted it from the box, her fingers gently brushing over the smooth surface of the pendant. "Mikey...this is beautiful."

"I thought it would be a nice reminder of all the late-night talks we've had," Mikey said softly, her cheeks flushing slightly. "And how much I love you to the moon and back."

Jenna's eyes filled with emotion as she looked up at Mikey, her voice barely a whisper. "It's perfect."

Mikey helped her put the necklace on, the silver catching the light as it rested against Jenna's skin. She leaned in, pressing a tender kiss to Jenna's lips, the moment filled with all the love and care she had for her.

"Happy birthday, Jenna," Mikey whispered against her lips. "Here's to many more together."

Jenna smiled, her heart full as she pulled Mikey closer. "Here's to forever."
